I loved this place, it's like nowhere I've ever been. So many painfully photogenic nooks and crannies to discover. Find his other works scattered around the south Philly neighbourhood.
The artist really took his thoughts and displayed them so that everyone could admire them, I hope he realizes that his masterpiece has come to live and that with each visit something new is discovered
Such a fun and unique space of awesome urban art !!! $10 entry, but worth it - cost helps keep the place in tact and looking super cool
Worth the private tour in the morning to learn about the history and present work of the place. Love their mosaic art in the local community.
Very cool place to walk through but also check out the website to find the locations of public installations throughout the city . Isaiah’s work pops up in a bunch of nearby places.
This is a unique art installation more than a garden . On Wednesdays they have free wine and snacks . Overall a must do, at least once.
Outdoor mosaics and indoor exhibits both beautiful and fascinating. Get tickets at least a day in advance!
A testament to creativity and a hidden gem in the heart of Philly. come on a nice sunny day and relax
Stop in around 2:00 PM every day (and 4:00 PM on Fridays!) to listen in on one of our "Mosaic Musings!" Also, make sure to check our calendar for early closings when planning a visit.
Try to catch one of the short presentations (or at least talk to a guide). Knowing a bit about the artist 's story gave me a whole new appreciation and understanding of the art .
Beautiful little hidden gem in Center City . A great place to kill an hour or two. Go during the golden hour for the best pictures.
Incredible living museum . Bring a sketch pad or a book and go during off peak hours.
Beautiful and unique place to visit for an hour and get some great photos. $5 for students!
What else can you say about Isaiah Zagar ? He's a magic (gardens ) man. The fun, funky Magic Gardens includes a fully mosaiced indoor gallery & a massive outdoor labyrinthine mosaic sculpture .
All jokes aside the Gardens do a great job summing up a lot of the culture in Philly. Some things in that garden that are literally unbelievable. As in I can't find words to describe it on here.

This place is fantastic. Feel free to touch everything in here if you're blind, despite what the signs might say. After all, you can't read them anyway, right?
It's a cool place to wander around and get lost for a while. Amazing artwork and mosaics .
This was a great museum and different from most other things that you'll see around Philly. So creative and worth the visit! Enjoy!
Very pretty to walk through, there is an inside and an outside area as well as artwork spread through the town .
Explore Isiah Zagar's magical art space that seems to transform every time we visit. Admission is just a fiver, but you can support this local treasure by joining as an annual member, for just $25.
Countless pieces of shattered mirror, bottles and more come together to compose beautiful works of art . Admission is $5 and don’t plan to go to the outdoor garden in the winter, it may be iced over.
Make sure you climb every staircase, walk every path, explore every nook, and go to the bathroom . Quite the whimsical display of art .
Attend a fundraiser for a $5 party in a truly magical place. If you cash in your drink ticket, though, watch out for sharp edges and low ceilings
get tickets online in advance - space is very limited and does sell out
The clue is in the name, this place is indeed magical.
interesting but i would not consider this a must-see because he has murals all around the neighborhood that are pretty amazing.
Put this place on your list if you're in Philly. Totally worth visiting.
Have a chat with the artist Isaiah if you see him! Incredible story and man.
Will come here again. Amazing artwork an installation. Have never seen anything like it!
After visiting, remember to stroll around the neighborhood to see other examples of mosaic work done by the artist and students using his "style."
This spot is cool and there is a fun scavenger hunt you can do to better engage with the exhibit .
Did you know? Mosaic art has been around for thousands of years. As early as the 4th century BC, elaborate mosaic floors were features in many Ancient Greek homes. Read more
The scenery is stunning, some great photo ops :)
This is my #1 favorite thing to see in Philly
Philly’s “Magic Gardens ” are South Street’s amazing walk-through mosaics designed by Isaiah Zagar .
The "hidden gem " that locals rave about. Kids will be impressed and adults will instantly feel like kids. Loved it!
Definitely worth it.
It may only be a 3,000-square-foot plot of urban land, but there's a lot to see. Reclaimed trash mosaics , mirror and tiles make this one hidden gem .
Magic combination of mosaics and recycled arts in the artsy South street
Walk all over the neighborhood 's streets and hidden alleys. You will spot the mosaic art just about EVERYWHERE!
So quirky yet beautiful, every corner you turn, you see a different work of art .
Great exploration of art as part of living.
Don't miss it. Awe-inspiring. There's a reason "magic" is in its name.
A whimsical labyrinth of glass, tile and metal. Check groupon for discounts .
Be sure to have your camera ready. Everything, including the washrooms are decorated. When finished, cruise South street to see more of his work being adorned on storefronts.
Great site to visit on south street !!
Must visit. It's a masterpiece for sure.
Lived in Philly for almost ten years, and just finally got around to visiting. Can't believe I was missing out on this for so long!
