Vista Point Oceanside

Worth the stop on the way to San Diego. No restrooms or services though, for those head to the rest stop a few more miles south. Be sure to stop when you're heading south, no access from 5 north.

Nice, clean remodeled rest stop since the last time I was here a yr ago today. :)

Interesting spot to watch military helicopters practice their maneuvers from one side of the freeway to the other.

If you're making the drive down the 5 then this is a definite "rest stop " to stretch your legs and take some nice pics.

The view was just okay...nothing to write home about. You shouldn't feed the birds , but if you do, they come flying to swarm you. Kind of makes for some neat photos, though.
