Best bargains around closing time: 12pm. Great prices for seasonal produce . Have a sausage on turkish bread and onion for $3,5. Do your weekly grocer shop for half the price you'd pay at the supermrkt
Come early for the freshest produce, later for the bargain basement prices. Fresh bread is quite expensive but great prices on cut flowers .
Good place good products good deals . It’s a shame the day I came it’s a rainy ☔️ day
Best Market in Melbourne - true locals will know this. None of the QVM touristy distractions. Takes over half of Gleadell St every Saturday morning.
Love this market ,, fresh organic produce ,, fish , meats, flowers everything u need for yr weekly shopping,,
Great variety and some nice speciality stalls
fresh fish , veggies , fruit bargains aplenty especially after 12
Stupid local council bureaucrats are trying to ruin melbs original oldest outdoor market with their "no bags" policy. Political greeness gone mad!
Great fun, but the prices are inflated. - Jeremy Mawson
Tart Box has amazing tarts, including one with gin! Gin in a tart... Yummy! - Yondering Monkeys
I just had the vegetarian pumpkin roll slightly toasted. It's awesome! So yummm - Tia Vasiljevic
As a local- I love vic gardens! A good tip for food shopping... Avoid Coles for fresh produce - visit Lenards for chicken, Toscanos for veggies and the butcher for meat. All great quality!! - Laura
