For a fun trip biking/skating with kids, go about a mile westward from the Rouse Rd entrance for a wooden bridge that crosses the Econlockhatchee River . Take a snack break overlooking the river .
Go to the bridge overlooking the river at sunset . It's about 5pm during the winter.
Enjoy two playgrounds , a paved 7.9 mile walk/bike/roller blade trail . Rent one of two covered and large grill pavilions for your next get to gather. (Note please reserve 3 months in advance)
The bathroom building is about a half mile in from the Rouse Rd entrance, a small white cement block building on the left with a blue roof. It is adjacent to a playground and a pavilion .
Travel to the end of blanchard ttail at forsyth and follow forsyth across university blvd to CatyWayTrail, a great continuation to your trail travels. Watch for cars!
Also to note while using the trail stay to the right as the park rangers are always patroling for your safety. They will pass on your left always wave back as they will wave to you.
Be sure to catch the sunset on the bridge around 7. It's a little slice of heaven, bestowed upon East Orlando.
Great, beautiful location. We had our family Labor Day cook out here. Fabulous!!! Kingcade family.
There is a long walkway for bikes or walking/running. About 10 miles .
I eloquently told my girlfriend that this was the "parkiest of parks " that I have ever been to.
Bring insect repellent as the trails are rather wild.
Start at the zero mile mark by the tennis courtand try to beat my fastest time on bicycle, 3:45
