The finest european art collection in Southern Hemisphere. Raphael, Rubens , Goya, Van Gogh , Monet, Cézanne, Matisse, Degas , Modigliani , Renoir , Picasso... And my personal favorite, Toulouse-Lautrec.
If you reach this museum , most likely you'll find so many activities, art collections , and dancing groups at the street! 🎻🎭💃🏻
Check out the impressive selection of antiques at the Sunday market . After, you can cross the street and visit the handicrafts market and stop for some good street food sold among the artisan booths . Read more
Free on tuesday! Incredible paintings of Picasso, Van Gogh , Degas , Portinari , Toulouse-Lautrec, Gaugin, Modigliani , Rafaello, Tiziano, Renoir , Matisse, etc.
Small museum with interesting pieces. Works from many Dutch artists from Van Gogh , Frans Post, Salomon van Ruysdael to a self-portrait of Rembrandt! It's like a compact Rijksmuseum.
Contextually great Romanticism exhibition on the second floor featuring Van Gogh , Gauguin, Renoir , El Greco, Toulouse-Lautrec, Vuillard, Delacroix, Manet, Monet, Cezanne, Degas and much more.
Also known as MASP, this art museum is home to Latin American, Western, and the best Brazilian art . Also find some Degas , Delacroix, Tintoretto, and Van Gogh in here. Museum closed on Mondays.
Worth checking out if you’re visiting the city . An eclectic mix of styles and mediums presented side by side.
The top floor has an interesting display of the museum 's collection. It's counter intuitive to have to walk around the paintings to read their info, though.
This 1968 Modernist building houses one of the most comprehensive Western art collections (ranging from Botticelli to Diego Rivera) in the Southern Hemisphere.
After living in Brazil for ten plus years. I would frequent this museum . Excellent collections.
Great minimalist and conceptual artworks in display. From Richard Serra, to Carl Andre, to Vitto Acconci. First floor
It was built in 1968. Designed by the Italian modernist architect Lina Bo Bardi. His famous columns, however, were painted red just in 1990 in a partnership with the Suvinil paint company.
There are two sub-basements that are part of the museum . Don't miss that part.
Great Museum ! I was there during a Modigliani exibition! Top Top.
Just one big exposition , the first floor was closed, but still pretty good
Good organization of the collection. You can always learn visiting this place
Great collection of European painters too
The Triumph of Detail: Portraits • Goya's “Retrato da Condessa de Casa das Flores” (1790–1797) is one of the masterpieces • until June 9th, 2013
Always interesting international and Brazilian exhibitions and well-worth checking back regularly for new stuff!
This is the most important museum in Sao Paulo. It's pretty small, though, if you're used to museums in the USA.
Modern art Expositions seem a bit dated. Have seen much more impacting stuff elsewhere in SP
Amazing!!!!
Probably the best Art Museum in South America.
It's a great art museum . Very good painting collection.
There is only one floor, but the visit can take at least two hours. Better to go on Tuesdays, it's free.
Excelent restaurant , but no options for a quick snack . The small coffee shop downstairs only serves coffee and cookies , but no savory goods.
Must-see museum of the city . Great collection.
Great place to visit at Sao Paulo.
Architecture ...

Small but good permanent collection.
You would not expect that they got a huge collection from Van Gogh & Rodin. This place is not to be missed.
Lovely new exhibits !
Visit the Rome exhibition ! Cannot miss it!

For some idiotic reason they make you wear your backpack backwards here. #lostintranslation
