Great picnic area . There are multiple hikes that start here including an easy one around lake Lagunitas, which is about a 1.8 mile loop and a moderate one around Bon Tempe Lake , a 3.8 mile loop.
watch out for newts crossing the path as you meander around this lovely lake -- the oldest municipal reservoir in Marin, I'm told. great for mountain biking , too!
