The self guided audio tour is pretty cool. You can pause it, and it plays all the jailhouse sounds that would otherwise be missing

Really awesome experience. Park rangers are really nice and knowledgeable . You could tour the whole place on your own or tag along to one of the free guided tours

Stunningly historical and eerie. Great audio tours are given. Watch out for the steps; they're steep. You may still find an escapee here from 50 years ago still hangin' out.

The audio tour is well narrated and the events that happened are very interesting. From Alcatraz you have an amazing view of San Francisco.

I recommend taking the audio tour , when I wen't I didn't even knew there was one... tehehehe. It's peaceful place yet so misterious...

The food inside the jail was one of the best. Some Resturants started to offer Alcatraz meals ????????

Most people don't exit into the recreation room — at the back there is a stairway that makes its way down to the edge of the island .

Make sure you take the free audio tour . I can't imagine getting much out of the walking tour without the audio devices.

Prisoners were entitled to food, clothing , shelter and medical attention. Anything else is privilege.

I wanted to visit the Alcatraz at night but it's sold out. The day experience was very fun though.

Go on the night tour , well worth it even for the sunset view of the city .

El recorrido con calma es muy interesante. Vale la pena el audiotour. Trata de alejarte cuando puedas del resto de la gente y podrás sentir un poco de lo frío y inhumano del lugar.
