Bear Mountain Ski Resort

Bear mtn. is a great destination! Although, member a few important things, college $20 discount is only mon-fri, wear sunscreen , & Snow Summit is another option to ski next door (less park focused).

Options for ALL levels. Nice snow, even in march. Cool instructors who compliment my pants. A kid lost a tooth there. Def buying season passes next year.

Bring snow chains--even if your vehicle has AWD + proper tires . If there are check points, they might ask to see your chains, even if you don't need to put them on

Very clean and pleasant resort ! Mountains were partially groomed-snowboarders be rippin' it!

It's a good idea to get to the mountain before 8am if you want to be able to park your car in the upper lot. Also the crowds are way down on the weekdays before Christmas .

If you want to beat the lunch crowd and try to get a decent table, get food before noon because that's when all the classes end.

Used to be a Summit-Head, but Bear has tightened-up it's game! Beware of lazy lifties atop chair 6--they don't like shoveling snow-- harass boarders not to drag their feet to slow down or turn!

You can buy your ticket when renting, no need to stand in both lines .

Get here early if you can! Lots fill up quick especially when there is good snow !

This place is like a scavenger hunt. Rent ski here. Rent helmets over there. 15 minute wait in help line . Long lines gift shop . Good luck at finding all the different flags for ski school .

Great beginners spot for snowboarding and skiing

The Walmart at the bottom of the mountain sells chains, but the supply is limited. You're better off buying them at your local automotive store.

Go to the bar . Get a Bloody Mary !
