Fun take on a Japanese Izakaya from the famous O Ya team, with a Tokyo hipster vibe and tasty cocktails with lots of tiki drinks . The warm 'rando' section was great: curry noodle + oyako rice bowl .
Cool vibe and good cocktails but the small plates are REALLY pricey for their size. I'd recommend going for a drink and a snack to start your night, and going elsewhere for dinner .
Try your luck with the wasabi roulette ! One of the 6 pieces has an unbearable amount of wasabi inside. Baby bottle of piña colada goes to the unfortunate soul.
One of the hottest restaurants in Boston . Awesome Japanese tavern food . Try it all.
Delicious food (had the Nori Taco , which was pricey but well worth it) and the Funky Chicken Ramen , which was almost enough for two! You might want to make reservations , as it can get busy.
Not often a hotel restaurant just happens to be one of the best restaurants in the neighborhood . Get the Funky Chicken Ramen and Brains on Crack!
Tasty unique food! Cassie is the best, super helpful and sweet waitress ! The potstickers are the best I've ever had!
The PK Negroni is an amazing twist on the classic, with coconut and pineapple mixed in — very exciting!
Loved the tuna burger . Shout out to the bartenders . Very friendly and accommodating when we walked in shortly before closing.
Best of Boston 2016: Placemaker ???? :: Postgame watering holes are sprouting up around Fenway like kudzu, but the best fetes still end on the Verb’s lantern-lit ground floor.
Former Howard Johnson's, now a sleek motor inn with a Japanese tavern. Liked the???? shrimp toast and mushroom tempura !
I'll echo the sentiments of others regarding portion size. The food itself was tasty, but I would have had to spend another $50-$60 to feel full. Decor, space, and service was all great otherwise
The front lounge is a cool area to listen to some records and sip on a Japanese Caucasian
The Kimchi Fried Rice is superb — add extra hot sauce for a treat!
Such a fantastic and creative menu. Totally legit Japanese tavern food .
Great drinks, good food (though portions are on the smaller side). Possibly the best selection of sake cups in Boston.
Problem with Hojoko- it's not nearly as OMG as other Asian small-plates restaurants in Boston (Shojo, Blue Dragon, Etc) but it's more expensive and serves even smaller plates than these places
Ramen is awesome!! Late night spot with good vibe and great drinks. Beware - beers are crazy expensive . Paid $24 a pint
Pro: If you're a Kiko Mizuhara fan her photos are all over the women's bathroom stalls. Con: if you're human the level of salt content in food here will LITERALLY kill you. Decisions, decisions.
I am torn. Really cool space, but the small plates rack up a cost I don't feel justifies the meal. Drinks are whimsical in name and ingredients but sometimes don't come together.
So much good food - mushroom sushi is the best
Try one of the unique Japanese whiskeys !
Have the kimchi fried rice . Also the potstickers .
Very vivid Bar with creative drinks .
The funky chicken ramen is delicious! And they make their tofu in house!
Food and drink were both good. Ramen and fries were a bit salty. Karaage chicken was very flavorful. It was a bit expensive .
Good for dates but no for big groups. Be careful of who serves you. We had a sassy waitress who gave us attitude when we explained how we wanted the bill split. She ended up charging me $300 more.
Inventive and delicious but pricey for small plates . Good for a casual special occasion
Get the Piña Colada ! Can't go wrong with a brûléed marshmallow !
Ramen and sake !
Risky Tip: Wasabi Roulette . Pro Tip: Don't lose (it's painful)
Be aware — the kitchen closes around 10:30 on weekends…
The Ooh Mammi Grassoper is amazing.
Strangest restaurant where they bring each dish out as it's prepared. I'm here with a group and some of us are finished while others have not yet been served. Poor service.
Cocktails and the interior is very chick.
Get the charcoaled romaine
Ichiban saturdays for great music .
Drinks on Point, Wasabbi roulette is a great appetizer for a fun group. pool side dining in the summer.
Ozeki! Drink some!
Can’t believe this place got a 7.8! Their sushi is amazing! We ordered a bunch of appetizers and rolls. Everything was very fresh and high-level, even the ginger and spicy Mayo were superb - Elina Nisen
The okonomiyaki (v1. 1) with pork belly, kimchi, shrimp, and cheese is fantastic. Don't know how long it'll stay on the menu until v1.2 presumably brings some different ingredients. - Chris E
This place is amazing. Cool atmosphere and great service. Impressive menu. The 'salmon on fire', 'pork belly buns', and 'crispy mango maki' are amazing and delicious. - Kaely G
Went during the offseason and the tour was still great. The tour guides are awesome. - Nicholas Kirsch
If you visit here during Baseball season, they have a $5 menu that is available between first and last pitch. It's a limited menu, but everything's $5 or less. Tasty, and worth every penny! - Rob Sheppard
Tuna burger with its sauce, AND the skillet roasted P.E.I. mussels special... Are very very tasty. - Sam
