The Red Lion (Wetherspoon)

First time I went through the whole „download the app and order your food“ process.Worth a try for the experience and the food is pretty much what you expect at airports . It gets the job done. ????????

Don't expect craft beer exotics , but do expect the real ale choices to be in good nick, because they invariably are.

Fantastic ale choice , London Pride, Abbot Ale , Adnams and Red Lion, the British beef brisket and ultimate beef burger just tops up!!

Mornings, when it's busy, make sure you queue for a table or else you'll get sent on your merry way without feeding your tummy!

Possibly the cheapest place to eat at the North terminal . As souless as you'd expect for a Wetherspoons but better than the average aieport fare.

Try the breakfast egg and bacon bagel to set you up before your flight

Actually a pretty decent selection of craft beers . Not exactly spoiled for choice in the North Terminal .

Draught real ale in the airport . That's a very good thing. Also, vegetarian breakfasts .

Full of Brits that have ordered a small breakfast , complaining that it is a small breakfast .

Good for a glass of wine and quick meal or snack before flight. Tv with subtitles for passing not time too

It's very crowded and noisy . Go at the back of the pub , near the windows, if you need a bit of peace and quiet .

Don’t queue, go round the left hand side where there’s an opening. Loads of empty tables around, you’d be waiting forever in the queue for the server to take you to one themselves.

Ordered at the bar before the app let me pick a pub . But my chips arrived before I'd got back upstairs with 2 beers . Honestly impressed.

Use the app to avoid the 4-deep scrum at the bar . Extra handy if you’re trying to keep kids under control.

Decent selection of beers , including pretty well kept cask .

So kind of them to let us prepare our own bloody Bloody Marys . Fail.

Bit busy getting a table is a challenge but does the business

Got the eggs Benedict but it seemed like the eggs were cooked in holders rather than boiled, and the ham was far too salty for me. All in all disappointing for the price

Nowhere near as cheap as a Spoons should be. £4.65 for an indifferent pint of Estrella.

While reserved sign on tables just see waitress and she finds a table and removes reserved sign

Not your average Spoons . Eggs royale was surprisingly nice though!

Overpriced for a Spoons and woeful service. Barman took my money and walked off to deal with a delivery leaving me without the beer I'd paid for.

Probably the worst overpriced food I ever ate at an airport . This actually beats the pub at Hurghada airport which was my number one until now.

Slow service. Spread out along the bar and you won't get served because they skip you. 5 minutes waiting and that's enough for me.

....because it's not a British airport unless you have a pokey, overpriced Wetherspoons in departures.

The Abbot Ale 's a tasty pint.

No Dark Star Revelation :-( the Shipyard is not awful, but no Dark Star Revelation :-(

£7.80 for a pint of Pride and a bottle of Erdinger. Taking the piss or what? Staff have been told not to serve a full pint. An absolute disgrace. Avoid.

They do not accept the BAA world points
