Located in the heart of the downtown, Underground Atlanta is one of the city’s favorite attractions and a cultural hub. Opened in 1969 as a “city beneath the streets,” Underground Atlanta still exhibits many of the significant architectural features from its original structure.

I never feel safe here. Essentially an abandoned multilevel retail and dining complex downtown Atlanta that now houses Masquerade. Can never find direct access and meander alone in vacant space.
In front of the MARTA entrance you'll find a lamp called the "Eternal Flame of the Confederacy". It is one of the original 50 gas lamps placed around Atlanta in 1855. Another one stands in Oakland.
I was here the week Underground opened. It makes me sad how much this place has declined in 20 years. I still like to visit when I'm in town to stroll down memory lane & love the Braves shuttle!
Lots of random mall kiosks here. If you're a tourist be sure to visit the visitors center. Its past the food court , upstairs and right across the street. You cant miss it.

Must get there early for the Peach Drop if you plan on getting any drinks. Not really a place for kids, really packed and people can get pushy. Be safe
Went here with Radford Chi Alpha. We played guitar and sang worship songs. Everyone had to come up and find out where the music was coming from. They said we made their day. Y'all should do the same.
Definitely a really awesome place, and loads of fun, but it gets old...there's only so much to do ya know? However, throughout the year they have amazing concerts and such.

This place is dead. It feels a little desperate and a lot sad. Maybe it was just the time of day that we visited, but the way the vendors acted makes me think otherwise.
Nice place to visit. Small mall with an interesting architecture

Go to topcorn if you want the best popcorn ever! Many different flavors! Some of the best I have ever had!
Nice architecture but mostly a place for shopping and eating. If you don't have money then I would advise you not to go. But, sort of nice place.
25 treats later it's still an entertaining & interesting place to visit.

Use the MARTA to hit up the Underground... adds convenience, especially since this area is not always the safest at night
Turn it into a big skate park , place is worthless
The parking lot is full of trash and smells of urine. Set your car's air to recirculate and hold your breath in the elevator .
Stop by the Information Booth for a Self-Guided Walking History Tour brochure.
I come here for the Bavarian almonds on my way home...Underground is definitely not as classy as it used to be..
I wouldn't listen to none of the negative comments about this place. It's on how u look at things. Every place gonna have poor unfuturnate person . It's cheap ad fun.
Check out the stage in the very center, a bunch of talent happenin.
Havent been here in a while...they put to use that dark hallway leading to the clubs..an arcade ! !!
Its like a tiny mall in a subway, cool, and even fun! Anybody that likes new things shouldtotally go!
The annual New Years Eve Peach Drop has been a tradition here since 1989.
all jewelry 2 dollar!!! racked up on feather earrings and hair clips and this cute ring :)
Like walking through there, always get fresh taffy at the taffy store.
Great place to go shopping and hang out
Shops were just opening when we showed up.. Yes, lots of homeless people there...
Went for the midnight New Year Peach Drop . Beautiful evening and a great start to a new year.
Go underground and check out all the shops and vendors and have lunch . Check out the night club
American Deli (Food Court ) has a great Philly cheesesteak !
Place is basically abandoned. Only thing left is American deli and a hand full of other shops.
Skip the higher lots and Park down Fairlie next to Marta behind the CVS. $3 all day!
The parking garage is not what it use to be when parking in it.
Very urban. Lots of bums here, seems to be a few relics of culture. Interesting place.
Great shopping, great food, a little crowded on the weekend but all in all well worth the trip.
Great shopping experience
Definitely not a tourist spot, I onlyb go to grab lunch since I work next door
I agree. Make sure you are armed when you visit. Atlanta is a crappy place if your backpack was stolen.
This spot this mad hood
Check out the real Black Santa. Very nice man.
If it wasn't for the fact that the Braves' shuttle is at the opposite end, I'd never step foot in this hell hole.
$8 for all day parking on a weekday is a BARGAIN. Try that downtown in any other major city. - Bill Sirinek
Named after Irish born Michael Kenny. He owned a bar on Pryor St called Chicago Ale Depot & was killed in 1870 after being thrown from his horse during a contest at the GA State Fair. He rests in OC. - Oakland Cemetery
Great shopping mall! Also a variety of choices of restaurants. - Karen Johnson
Try the homemade Key Lime pound cake at Buns Hamburgers in the Food Court. Unbelievable - lisa weldon
Some may be less than impressed with this strip mall's lackluster 1960's appearance - but they've got some really great (and modern!) shops. - Intown Expert, Jennifer Kjellgren & Associates
Beautiful park with a cool water fountain for kids and adults. Free Wi-Fi everywhere!! - Domnule Obzen
