Small, Intimate, New, Fresh....and they've had big names...very big names, and locals. Not to mention, I know a person that knows a person. I love this venue, it's like a 5th home.
Excellent party and intimate live music space. Multi cultural Oaktown crowd. Three bars and nice central courtyard for chillin'.
Favorite Oakland small live music venue . I always have a great time here. They book great music acts. Highly recommend this venue.
Best music venue in the East Bay ! An intimate space with a hugely diverse lineup of performers . Music runs the gamut, from reggae to hip hop to brass bands to funk to dancehall. Read more
This is one of the few spots in Oakland that has an outdoor area that doesn't make you feel separated from the actual event . Great space, great area, good vibes.
Hands down the best place to see a band in the bay area . Small, two levels, full bar , more than a single stall on the women's side.
Great selection of shows but all I have attended started almost 4 hours after doors. Come much later compared to other venues when seeing stuff here.
Awesome place! Great music , cool garden patio where you can smoke, funky art and burning men crowd. Place to be on Wednesday!
Oakland! R&B vocalist José James continues his West Coast tour at The New Parish 12/9/11 at 10pm! You won't want to miss this one! Give us a shout (@AMIagency) when you check in!
If you're coming for a show, they're always at least 30 mins late opening doors. Come prepared to wait.
Great place to see live music and an easy walk to and from the BART. #RAGE!
This great music venue is totally intimate and reminds me a lot of the Jazz Cafe in London.
The upstairs area has the best view of the stage.
Best small music venue in Oakland, IMHO.
It's a small venue , but that doesn't mean it's any less awesome.
Solid venue to watch live music .
Do yourself a favor and eat (and drink) at Hibiscus next door. It's DELISH!
$3 Tecate and a pay phone in the women's restroom . $15 min on credit cards.
Follow their Twitter feed for last minute tickets and surprise shows.
The atmosphere is ok but it gets super crowded
$18 for a double bourbon neat? $5 for a tiny plastic cup of beer ? Tempted to bring a flask, FFS.
Treat the door-girl/security nice...or they'll leave you waiting outside.
Live shows are pretty good here...
Be sure to check out the balcony viewing for a show. Best second-level view in the Bay Area .
Reggae night is fun
2 Mort 2 Ified
drink cocktails on the balcony with the grown ups
go to the guy bartender . heavy wrist.. tip well .
Tuesday nights impromptu comedy !
Got a nice smoking section
Horrible line management. Had to wait in line for 30 minutes to get my ID checked and ticket scanned because they only had one person working on each.
Make sure u get some parish punch it's bomb libation
I'm just here so I don't get fined
Kick it upstairs with the band members after the show. Hella tight!
we the people had a great house night there.
Don't plan on going to the mens room
Come to Monday Soul every monday!
Bout to see the coup here. And the double gin n tonic . Omg. Strong as fuck
Epic and rare.
Smoke cigs with the 16 year olds on the patio .
The Cool Kids were so sick!
Pretty good DJ's- check the schedule for what genre u like- tacos are fantastic! Cool bartenders- not a fancy spot, just a cool neighborhood bar.... - Bryan Dyer
Love the chill evening vibe here on the weekends. Great multicultural Oakland crowd. Definitely feels like home. Good cocktails. - Brian Strauss
Nice place to get a drink before a concert. Usually has a few simple things to eat. Beats waiting outside in line. - James Fisher
The greyhound is one of the best I've ever had. Fresh squeezed and refreshing, but strong as $&@! - Melon L
