My favourite pub in Canterbury. The atmosphere is very pleasant, cosy, and the food is so goooood. Taste the lamb or if you're brave, the King Lear.
Cherry atmosphere, good for groups , perfect little English pub near the historic cathedral .
Some of the best burgers in Canterbury, and don't miss their little wine bar across the courtyard ! Wifi : bestofbritish
Good craft beer from Shepherd Neame. Very friendly staff . I'll back for sure!
The seafood sharing board was delicious, plenty for two
The King Lear burger is a beast, but I managed just fine! Tasty food and friendly service
Quite slow service. We had the Sunday roast ; my companion's nut roast was deeelicious but my pork belly was very poor quality cut and clearly cooked in a rush rather than slow cooked. Average.
The King Lear burger is amazing!!
The Welsh Rarebit is fab!
Grear Bar Staff :)
Super slow service. And very average food. Never come back again
Recomendable.
The best service expected and really nice food. If you compare with London restaurant, much much better - Valentin Moreno
Was in on The Pounds opening night and was blown away by the atmosphere, the attitude of the staff and the quality of the drinks. Superb. Have been coming back ever since and would recommend to all. - George Vanstone
Beautiful church with an incredible history. The fee is £12.00 per adult which is fairly expensive to pay to visit a church and not quite in the spirit of things. - Steven DM
