The most beautiful resort on the planet for lake views . But super crowded and kinda feels manufactured . Huge mountain , but not my Tahoe resort pick

My friends and I call this place "Flatland." It's the 1984 of ski resorts as well , make sure you do as you're told. Lift passes and food are ungodly expensive . But hey, it's a great view !

Some of the most incredible views of any ski area ! Beautiful blue Tahoe and mountains on the CA side, then views of the NV deserts on the other.

Beautiful scenic views and great for skiing and snowboarding . Great for kids. Great I the summer as well with a fun zip line course for 4.

Nice place to take visiting family. Perks: wide expansive terrain, close to downtown entertainment, and the views . I prefer to hit up less crowded areas myself but it's a good mountain .

Head straight to the Nevada side for hot laps on the Dipper & Comet chairs, Mott Canyon on a pow day will get you on the steep & deep, and the Grove chair will get you your park fix!

Can't beat the views . Just make sure you don't ski off the Ridge when admiring the lake .

The highest summit in Tahoe at 10,067 feet. Vertical drop is 3,500 feet, the longest in CA. In addition, there are 4,800 acres of terrain which makes it the largest resort in CA. Nuff said!

Stunning view but the runs are just okay for snowboarder ... Blues here are like Greens in resorts in Colorado (Vail, Aspen, Telluride, etc).

If you are vegan or vegetarian , be sure to bring your own food because the upper lodges don't provide any plant based food options.

There is great people watching at the fire and ice grill. Outside seating with a giant fire ring. Bring your wallet though everything is pricy .

Wanna get away from the tourists and the flats? I hate to give this away, but go tree skiing off trail . Ask a local and if their nice they will tell you about their favorite spot. Big mtn, go explore

New to snowboarding ? Book a private lesson! Ask for Brandon S. (so patient!) Ask for 1st lesson to be "California side" The magic carpet slope there is easier to learn on while building confidence.

Beginner skiers beware; Heavenly (while gorgeous!) is light on the greens, heavy on the blues .

Park at stagecoach lodge , it's free. Parking at the village is 25$. Plus stagecoach is best run at end of day.

Ride the Gondola in the Summer for a great view of the city

Check website to see what lifts/trails are open. Do NOT go when not enough trails are open, especially if you can't ski down & are forced to take the gondola . Wait for gondola at closing can be 1.5hrs

squaw valley resort used to be my all time favorite, but now heavenly! i like them both but summer is better in heavenly!

Easily accessible from a few base areas. Pretty good terrain but some of the lift lines can get long.

Don't forget to stop and take some Lake photos.

Expensive but great ski school for kids. Tip the instructors . Bring your own lunch since food on mtn is $$$$. Nice lift operators. Expensive skiing & tubing. Try Homewood & other areas for less $$.

Great gondola ride from Lake Tahoe Blvd - viewpoint at station #1, sledding, tubing, food at the top! Great family activity if you're not skiing .

Fastest way from Stagecoach (NV Lodge ) to Gunbarrel (CA Lodge ) without taking the flat walk of shame: Shuttle busses - Blue line to Gondola , and then Orange line to destination. 30 mins.

The bar at the back of Lakeview Lodge is a great place to take a break. In the spring go to Snow Beach for some rays.

Learn how to ride from Kelly, Curt, or Jill. They have like 60 years of experience between the 3 of them. Oh, and get your season pass!

Grab a hot chocolate (cocoa trio) at the Seattle's Best Coffee before going on the gondola . SO DELICIOUS!
