Uogashi Nihon-ichi

Feels like standing at a tapas bar . All locals, very few gaijin. Great value sushi , knowledgable chefs (some speak English//have worked in the US). One of my favorite joints in Shibuya.

Get phenomenal stand-up sushi , 2 rolls at a time. Ask for the English menu , and order the high fat tuna even though it's ¥600 for 2. It melts in your mouth.

Taki-geso-mayo (grilled squid legs with mayonnaise ) wins best value- only ¥150 for two pieces of amazing flavour. Favourite was the uni gunkan for taste. Friendly service and excellent rice pairing.

The uni is so sweet and creamy. Love this place cheap and quick!

One of the best places in Shibuya. Best: hot prawn sushi , and then they give you the head to eat is as well , very tasty. All the other sushi was amazing. Go early, it's packed.

Make this your first stop after a long flight.... Right after you get off the Narita Express from the airport , right before you check into the Shinagawa Prince Hotel . Delicious, fast, convenient.

One the very few sushi bars left around Shibuya. Excellent place even though some would rather sit... Fish is still fresh and all sushis taste great!
