Omg. I can't believe the h8ers. It is so good! Rock shrimp tempura , edamame , miso soup , cucumber rolls, shrimp shumai , so good. Green tea and green tea ice cream is good too. Make sure u have a coupon
Great sushi every time - the uni and salmon always taste super fresh. And really love the popcorn shrimp tempura (fka rock shrimp tempura ) and the Gramercy Park roll.
The grilled spicy shrimp is pretty good. When it's hot the shaved ginger dances on top of the shrimp . Quite a spectacle
The hot entree portions are pretty big. Get a couple of appetizers and share the entree with a friend
The straight sushi plate is very fresh. The fish pieces are larger than Momoya 's sushi plate.
For appetizers : order the salmon tartar , avoid the fish tacos . For dinner : go for the specialty rolls , esp. the one with strawberries .
Good back-up option is Momoya has a wait next door
Reasonable neighborhood option from this solid chain. Good fish in an Americanized environment.
I tried the "Chilean Sea Bass " and loved it! Fully recommend this specialty.
The Filet Mignon in the Pre Fixe menu is awesome!!!
Get the tuna tataki salad . It's perfect.
Duck spring rolls , crab dumplings , yum!
The Phoenix and Fantasy special rolls are good.
The Happy Hour from 5 to 7 is hard to beat
Great sushi ! ????
Get the birthday gift certificate! $20 off is a great deal!! :)
Try the shishitsu peppers and the chilean sea bass : amazing!
Sake with lychee is awesome. Rock shrimp really great too.
The sushi was great.
I love the spicy tuna !
fish taco salmon toro gramercy roll good, pleasant experience~
Some of the better service you'll find. Your water gets refilled quickly.
The special rolls don't have descriptions, so either ask the wait staff or look at the menu before you go.
Edamame , salads
Great sushi , great prices.
Weird sushi texture.. Great rock shrimp
AVOID! in addition to so-so sushi . You have to pay $1 extra for a quarter sz amt of wasabi . They also yelled at me for having a bottle of water out for the dog (I was sitting outside)
Lovely place! Wonderful sushi and sake .
Has the feel of a restaurant in Tokyo, very good
Birthday Celebration Part II
Very mediocre. Right next store is a substantially better sushi option (Momoya ?). Trust me, go there. Or elsewhere. Haru will be very disappointing.
Try the Chirashi
AVOID! Sushi is no good. Ordered yellowtail and tasted like it's from a can. Sent back and I never send food back. Management did offer refund for just that roll but insisted it was high quality
BEST SUSHI IN NYC!
Don't get sashimi ceviche . Do try wasabi shumai .
Tempura lobster roll rocks
Rock shrimp tempura
No cocktails ?!? What kinda BS is that?!?
Yawn. It's never that good or never that bad. Move along. Nothing to see here.
