Tried the Risotto Nero, and I wasn't disappointed. It's a nice dish! Probably not for everyone's visual pleasure (totally black!) but it's nice if you're after a very tasty dish!

Come during weekday nights as the food is not consistent during the weekends when it gets really busy..Always order risotto Nero and gamberi pizza :)

Tiamo is, to my taste buds, the best and most consistent Italian food in Lygon st. Let me settle an argument for you: the pasta and pizza here are superior to Brunetti. Schiaffatelli is a personal fav

The Affogato is one of the best in Melbourne. Simple and authentic : a single shot espresso and a scoop of Vanilla Ice cream . Great!

The gnocchi quattro formaggi is lovely, I you can convince the waiters the that kitchen *can* make it. Tortellini carbonara also yum.

Nice outside seats with heating on a cold day and a coffee makes this place a good meeting place.

Had the marinara and some garlic bread . Molto bene. Good portion size and value. This place is popular and can get quite busy but service is pretty fast.

The tortellini pasta is HEAVEN, and the pizza taste pretty damn good too

The lasagne is my favourite in Melbourne. The red house wine is also very enjoyable on a cold evening.

Calamari salad is good. Correction. Really really good.

Caramel pancakes with walnuts , heaven. Great gnocci . Pizza is a plus with proper ham off the bone

Wifi is pretty terrible; super slow and a pain to access. Not sure why 4sq recommends this place as a coffee spot with wifi :-/

For brekky , try the scrambled eggs . Simple, not overcooked goo. Best ever.

Chicken saltinboca oily and Ragu tasteless crap service no smiles.

So so busy but so worth it! Tiamo 2's tortellini tartufo is amazing!!!!
