Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company is a national leader in the development of new plays, and one of the most influential midsized theatres in America.
641 D St NW (btwn 6th & 7th St NW) Washington , D.C. 20004 United States
Always leave a little time before or after a play to explore the lobby - Woolly does a great job with creative exhibits that enhance the experience of the play.
One of the best places to see new, exciting, meaningful works at a top tier level. Intentional, accessible theatre , with discount tickets available frequently, and a ton of community outreach.
Excellent theatre near the Metro station & w/ amazing food options to the N and W. Highly recommended if visiting the Mall & looking for something to do after the museums close.
The 6 pack is absolutely worth it if you're under 30. Best theater for new plays in the region.
Show up early to play the games in the lobby and have a drink, but the productions can be a little off color.
Mike Daisey rules! Woolly Mammoth is a great venue for his monologues. No matter where you sit, you're right there with him.
Order drinks for intermission before the show starts, and skip the line later.
Small theater-in-the-round. Cutting edge productions, excellent acting. Fun neighborhood . Cedar Restaurant a block or two away is fantastic. Not cheap but totally great food.
Love WM productions! Always instructive and usually amazing! :-)

This is the top theater company downtown for seeing new plays . Drama here is edgy , takes real risks, and is almost always memorable.
Six pack was the best arts purchase I've made in a long time.
Tres genereux! Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company has "Pay-What-You-Can" tickets for their first two performances of every main stage production
I like that they do not just go for the safe shot
Discounted "Stampede Seats" are available on the day of every performance . On sale at 6pm for 8pm curtain. CHECK IT OUT!!
Bid on two ticket to Mr. Burns, a post-electric play, and support local Girl Scouts! Let them eat cake !!! Marie Antoinette!
Hit and miss quality but always interesting.
If you sit in the box, you're so close it's likely you'll be a part of the show.
FUE closes 8/14. Great show. Beat theatre I've seen in a long time.
Pay-what-you-can on opening nights!
Pre-order drinks instead of waiting in long lines during intermission !
