Located on 24 Winter Street in the heart of Downtown Crossing, TD Bank draws an immense amount of foot traffic. Surrounded by two million square feet of retail space, Boston’s Financial District, municipal buildings, Suffolk University and Emerson College, its location is its biggest asset. The M...

Get the glossy Charlie Card for free at the station. It is a difference of 50cents per ride using the Charlie Card ($2.25) compared to the Charlie paper ticket ($2.75). Tip for new Boston visitors!
For speedy transfers between the Red/Orange lines , be in the front of Alewife trains , the center of Forest Hills trains , and the rear of Ashmont , Braintree , and Oak Grove trains .
if u want the quickest way off the orange line heading 2 forest walk the entire length of the platform to the very end & get in the 1st car. it will be easier going to the main level of forest
If you are headed to stony brook or forest hills , get in the last car (closest to the redline stairs). Closer to the center of the train is better for most people headed to backbay and forest hills .
This is a major hub for T riders; it has been known as "Washington" on the Red Line and "Summer and Winter" or "Washington Under" on the Orange Line , named for the streets above ground.
Buy your CharlieCard at the office here (closes at 5pm). Very handy because it saves you $0.50 per ride!
The Winter St and Temple Place entrances put you on the far ends of the platform where it's usually less crowded .
If you are a fast walker, it is faster to take the tunnel to park st when switching from a forrest hills train to a alewife train . You can beat a train that you couldn't make at downtown xing.
Switching from an Orange line Oak Grove train @ downtown xing to green/red line (Park st) is one of the most difficult times I've ever had as a MBTA rider. Station needs more follow-the-arrow signs.
Cold in the winter, hot as all hell in the summer. Lots of crazy people, like this guy in front of me. Smells bad full of rats and roaches, although I find it pretty easy to navigate.
Be courteous and either hold onto your trash or dispose onto a barrel. No one wants to be playing pong with your empty bottles.
For people traveling to Wellington Station, towards Oak Grove, get on the first cart as it lets you off directly in front of the Wellington stairs to exit!
Just go to the first cart of the train , more comfortable
Think a out what end of the track you need to get off at your destination... you have time to walk to the end of the platform when you're waiting!
New musician - decent guitar player with hilarious lyrical yelling. On the forest hills platform
Been taking the T for at least 15 years and this station still lacks more signs to direct me to the line I want to go. It's an underground maze.
If you're heading to Alewife, get on the first few cars to be closest to the stairs & exit.
If your taking the orange line dont make eye contact, most ppl r crazy on that line .
There is a Macy's next door. Also, the Park Street station is 2 blocks away :)
You can walk get to park street station through an underground concourse. Use this to transfer from orange to green and visa-versa
Red Line trains to Alewife typically show up at the same time as Orange Line trains to Forrest Hills . Please be considerate and don't go charging down the corridor - there will be another train soon e
Beware downtown crossing station is one of most busiest area and watch out for crazed people
If you're taking the Orange Line to Oak Grove get on the last car--it's closest to the exit
Always a mess...try to know where to head when you walk off the train to avoid a headache
if ur on the orange line heading 2 forest hills take the car at like the
Hold on to your belongings and don't make eye contact with anyone
It's pretty good during the day but rush hour is a nightmare
Not sure what they are but there are a bunch of creepy doors in between dtc and parkst? Numbered like apps with spy holes on them
Downtown Crossing is so hot as it touches the very tip of Hell.
It hasn't been said enough and probably never will be: it is fucking hot here. Crazy hot. Inexplicably hot.
Braintree train is now twice as more packed than the Ashmont . What the deuce.
Keep your bags high up or next to you, the roaches are all over the place.
That popcorn stand can't possibly taste better than it smells...can it?
No ac while waiting in the summer. It's stifling!
I had to transfer to another location which I did not want to come this route. I saw like a ten pound rat at this T Station. Gross much?!?
Busy on Tuesday Rushour
Last train is 12:50am. Last call T-riders!
Bring a fan...its hot down here!
Warm pee smell YUM!
Sorry, meant Franklin St. or Temple Place
Still hot as all hell, no AC even in 85 degree weather.
Smells like pee everyday, all day
Not like NY
Still filthy... Yep Braintree to Ashmont Ratio still 3:1... Yep!
Smells like crap
Tomem muito cuidado nesta estação pois é nesta que todas as linhas se cruzam, causando um movimento imenso em determinados horários! Cuidado com bolsas e pertences
Si vas hasta Forest Hills , siéntate en el último vagón
