Love this new modern Vietnamese addition to the hood. Start with papaya salad and spring rolls , then move onto pho and beef stew . Tasty house hot sauce ! Everything was delic, I loved the interior too.
Pho bac (northern pho ) is quite authentic - the broth tastes quite close to what you can get in Hanoi, which is hard to find in America. The only downside is that it is quite oily.
You'll hear about the pho and the summer rolls . Nobody is talking about the brussel sprouts . If you like spicy , it's a must. We spent the remainder of the night dipping everything into the sauce.
Easily a fave neighborhood spot . Papaya + pig ear salad or spring rolls , beef pho , but most importantly, shaking beef is a revelation. Pro tip: dump your extra rice into the sauce at the end. ????
Excellent food and service at this small gem near Avenue A. Get the shaken beef and bone marrow dish. so good.
Amazing food! Interesting that they serve pho with ginger and their house chili oil . I recommend the papaya and pig ear salad and the pho with bone broth
Amazing. Pho & bun cha is fantastic & try the viet Sundae , different but delish!Wait can be long, fri night is like 90min wait for 2. They will txt u when table is ready so go get drink nxt door
This place has absolutely amazing soups and stews ! I got the beef pho and it was exceptional. Try to get the big room in the back - it fits about 8 people. And obviously start with summer rolls .
Amazing pho (tender beef ) - add oxtail & beef marrow if you wish. DO NOT order the uni banh mi ...
incredible service, food, and atmosphere. get the uni banh mi and any of the large format sharing dishes. best vietnamese in the city ? possibly.
Omg so good. Had the beef pho and the bone marrow literally melts in your mouth. I’d go back for sure. Thai hot egg coffee too!
The Brussels sprouts and the appetizer special were amazing. As was the shaking beef but the marrow on the same plate was forgettable. Rowdy and boisterous crowd with good service .
Excellent house pho . Service could be better. They gave us our drinks late in the middle of our meal and we felt rushed to finish our plates.
All of the pho . I usually get the oxtail beef pho . It's so amazing. The pig ear papaya , spring rolls and tomato salad are pretty refreshing to eat.
as a vietnamese person constantly searching for good vietnamese food in the city , this place is worth it despite constant long waits . pho bac and bun cha are my top picks here.
Super flavorful Vietnamese. Probably the best I e had in the city . Try the pho and pork chop bun .
The beef pho + add-on oxtails is delicious. Skip the summer rolls .
The crab pancake and spicy octopus appetizer are a must. Very tender octopus futs. Their specialty is the pho . Try it out above any other entree.
Get the oxtail with the pho . Possibly the best in the city .
Didn’t love the summer rolls but the turmeric lobster and shaking beef were both excellent. Former portion size a bit small
they were super nice and got us in at the last minute for a delicious dinner w solid beers
For the solid pho , Pho bac is great and has deeper broth. If u r down to try variety, Dac biet is decent. it comes with crispy breadstick & bone marrow
Good beefy broth but missing some spice complexity from OG traditional pho . Seems a little westernized for the crowd
I'd recommend only two things on this menu - the Hanoi style beef pho and the brussels sprouts . Skip everything else.
Cha ca, bun cha , and Hanoi style beef shank pho ! Don't forget drink bia hoi (house draft beer ) with your meal!
Beef pho what was so good with bone marrow and oxtail a must-try
Order for two: Morning glory . Shaking beef . Classic beef pho with filet Mignon and brisket . Yummm
Pho is very good, clams and congee good too. Skip papaya salad and uni banh mi
Just get the pho , there’s no need for the additional toppings
get the grilled broccoli salad ! it's a nice starter with the pho .
Great service! Good egg coffee , but definitely on the pricier side!
I'm a massive pho fan and this place has the BEST pho soup ever! Worth the one hour queue.
Amazing pho ! Wow - add the oxtail too
The whole trout dish is a bounty of flavor and texture. Good pho as well !
Great pho and pig ear salad
Little uni pancake and beef pho with bone marrow
Get the pho , the octopus and the papaya salad with the pigs ears !
The pho and spring rolls are so authentic - just like what we ate in Hanoi!
Beef pho forever! Marrow , if you like it, and breadsticks no matter what.
Very tasty pho broth . Make sure you add the Ox tail .
The Bun Cha is amazing. The octopus appetizer has a great sauce.
Awesome new spot on St Marks. Great service and great food.
best bu chan ever. so kindly.
The Bun Cha is the same that Anthony Bourdain got in his episode with Obama. Mmmm mmmm!!
Shaking beef is delicious. Avoid weekend nights; super long waits then.
Large format roasted trout "ca nuong"
Beef PO is a must-try with bone marrow oxtail
They have egg coffee here- strong and has a prominent egg taste.
Adding the bone marrow wasn’t worth it. If I come back, will get pho without any additions
Id just get the 3 meat pho over Dac Biet with bone marrow
The pho is definitely great but my favorite was that they have bahn xeo!!! So hard to find in nyc and they did it so well. Perfectly crunchy and huge portion for a starter. ???????? - Kiwi Wang
Their house specialities are really good - Jo
Honestly have been looking for 2 years for a place that serves up Pho as well as they do in Vietnam -- I think I've come several steps closer some of the best Pho I've had in years -- 2 to be exact! - Preston Charles
No reservation? Get there early & grab a Crif dog to keep you happy for your roughly 30 minutes wait. But DON'T let that deter you. Great staff and the bacon & Maple old fashioned was amazing. - Scott W
Cozy spot for a date or drinks with friends. Order the fried pickles to snack on! - Monti Bray
Favorite low key bar. Old school east village, authentic and hidden gem. Good for when you just want to chill. - Anna Santiago
