The pool and the pool bar are really cool and nicely situated to lounge , have drinks and order food. The hotel is huge and the pool and fire pit areas are really nice and have a nice vibe.
There is no running trail . The map from guest services tells you it's a trail . It's basically a street sidewalk. Just leaving this tip so other runners know and don't keep running in search for it.
Ask for your room to be on continuous cool when you check in. Otherwise your room will heat to the high 70s every time you leave or open the balcony doors.
A great golf course , but the best part of the resort (besides the air conditioning ) is the pool cabana bar !
Before you book , check if there's some sort of conference being held at the same time. Currently hundreds of teenage cheerleaders squealing all over the entire hotel like a school camp.

Clean , nice staff with plentiful amenities . No reason to leave the resort if you didn't want to.

Beautiful surroundings but for the price not impressed. They do run shuttles to the BNP Paribas open which is nice.
If for some reason you bring your entire family to Cochella, then you should stay here - kids love it. If you don't have tikes in tow, you might want to stay away.
Esmerelda is a great hotel with a huge pool . Just right for the family. Plenty of golf available. Was not crazy about the sushi bar
