Hawthorne's New York Pizza & Bar

We were there on Sat. Noon. We ask for two separate toppings on 9 in. pizza . They don't allow. SAID toppings would all go to middle of pizza . Their cook needs to visit other pizza restaurants .

Huge 18" pizzas and good beers ! The place has a very homey vibe and the food comes out fast.

Great lunch special : slice of the day, a slice of cheese , and a drink for $7.50 (after tax). Best NY style pizza in Charlotte.

Good pizza , inattentive staff . Take it home for a better experience, or go to the real Hawthorne's in Elizabeth .

Elizabeth 's Special is the way to go. Beer specials daily and plenty on draft .

Napkins are nice quality.. But you literally have to be 12 to order a kids meal .. That's dumb. I just wanted a smaller portion. And I got the garlic knots and cheese calzone and wasn't impressed..

The Buffalo Chicken stromboli is a must. And the waffle fries are perfection!

$2 off pizza of the month! Also - try buffalo wing pizza . Best in town .

Try the bold & tangy wings !

Don't get the spinach and artichoke dip . Canned spinach , runny sauce. Just not a good overall experience.

Garlic knots are a must

Bland sauces, soggy crusts. If you want good Italian, keep looking. The best thing here is the bread .

Probably the worst pizza I've had. It's very greasy and both things we ordered were burnt. I won't be going back.
