Also, I've seen grown vegetarians cry and then break just from the smell of this place. Be aware of the huge lunch rush and pack of late diners on weekends. Worth the wait, though.

It's not just the burger (delicious), but the experience. It's been a staple of Raleigh for as long as I can remember. Best done after midnight on the weekends-

I've had great burgers in NC, CA, UT, many other states , France and England, and char-grill beats even the most magnificent of other burgers . Try the hamburger steak sandwich ! You'll get hooked.

So classically American. The burger is solid and the chocolate shake was thick and perfectly sweet.

Always open late , and sporting old school flair, Char Grill does a burger right.

sometimes i come here just for a diet pepsi with little ice in a styrofoam cup. if you do that, you don't have to wait in line . but the fries and shakes are also really good.

A Raleigh treasure. Fantastic flame grilled burgers . Busy place but always worth the wait. Great shakes too.
