Rock Bar

The bar carved out of the rock cliffs is a sight to see, but get ready to queue for a decent spot. The best spots are reserved for hotel guests . Bar opens around 4pm, and sunset is usually around 6pm.

Stupendo!! A must to watch the sunset I recommend to arrive around 4pm max to get a spot. Rockbar is only for hotel guests but next to it in the same hotel there is a perfect bar similar to rock bar.

A bit touristy !!! Dozens of people standing in front of your table is probably the best option to enjoy a romantic sunset . Come early to grab the best spots. VIP spots are reserved for hotel guests .

Pricey (100.000rupiah/bintang radler lemon small bottle) but totally worth to try.Visit earlier 4.30pm,take a seat,order drink,selfie & wait to sunset.Nice decor,service polite & friendly ,cool music

Most amazing spot to watch sunset in Bali . Get there early for a good spot and stay for dinner afterwards. You can ask for a cd at dinner - well worth it!!

Stunning sunset ! Get yourself prepared with plenty of sunblock as you are expecting to wait for at least an hour for sunset if you wanna secure your seat. Worth it!

Amazing place to check out the sunset ! Try to book in advance... if not get there ~4 pm. If you're VIP you can try to get an awesome table that's 5M IDR min spend, but it's totally worth it!

Many come here for the sunset views from the bar . If you are staying at the resort , it's best if you hangout at the infinity pool to the left of the Rock Bar. Same amazing views , more exclusive.

It's a great experience if you want to contemplate a sunset and a view like that. Take care with the sun because it's hot, though there is a specific place with VIP pool.

Best place for sunset . If you planning to be there get there before 5 so you can hopefully make it in. Unless you staying there. And you can surely trust the waiters with their suggestion on cocktails

Came @ 330pm, 45 min queue to take the elevator ; 5 min walk down the stairs to the bar . Suggest to just walk, else it's difficult to get a table once you are late. Tips: sunset in Bali is usually 6pm+

Amazing view for sunset . Although they said you can't booked , u can book thru the hotel if you guarantee them for a minim spending. Top of the bar has the best view

People go there already 4pm to watch the sunset , but it is seriously hot to sit there around that time. The staff will give you an umbrella to hide from the sun, nevertheless it’s still really hot.

Amazing....come early, book a room in the Ayana hotel or get to know someone....otherwise expect long queuing....unique place....must see

Beautiful place, but (to my surprise) no swimming or beach access . Only for drinks. If you don't want to wait in line for the cart, there are stairs only 100 meters away.

Hotel guests have priority on getting seats at the bar and even using the small elevator so be prepared for long lines if you're not sitting there. Come early or you will miss the sunset from the bar .

Friendly staff , even managed to accommodate us with orders not on the menu like coffee from the neighboring restaurant . Beautiful view

Quite overrated. The rock bar seating is quite bad and the best part of the rock bar is reserved for hotel guests . It’s also a hassle to get to it. Service quality is ordinary

I was here in the middle of may and have to go on waiting list but the staff said I can go the other way so I can get the table faster. Tapas are OK and their cocktails are amazing.

Best seats/areas reserved to Ayana guests. Does not accept advance reservations . Cool for drinks at sunset . Slightly overrated

If you don't stay at the resort then you don't get to sit at the main bar area, which you usually see in photos. Instead, outsiders visiting have to sit near the kitchen area.

If you are not a resident...not a lot. You are only allowed to sit on a viewing area for the sunset which is overcrowded with people cowering under black umbrellas from the heat of the sun.

Get the table at the sand area. It's the cheapest one :p n also the best one! Try the guacamole taquitoes ! BEST! Also, better come there @ the evening where you can see the sunset ! :) hv a nice time!

It has a superb scenic environment. My wife and I did have a relaxed drinking session in the bar although it’s raining.

Must look gorgeous in the daytime. Easier to get a good table next to the sea hitting the rocks at nighttime. Pricy but a nice escape from Kuta.

Fancy & expensive bar right on the cliff. Great choice for sunset & coctails . Be dressed nicely, dress/heels/shirt/trousers is good for evening time.

Try to be here around 4 pm cos after 6 it s too dark to enjoy the view ..one of my fav bar in bali. Drink price is a bit expensive ..but view is breathtaking..

Lineup starts at 4pm. If you are a guest of Ayana or Rimba, go directly to the front, many lining up are visitors from outside the resort

One of the most extraordinary settings for a bar in the world. Seated capacity 236 and a maximum of 300. Arrive by 3.30 for the best chance of a great seat when they open at 4.

Very pretty but touristy . Lacks soul. Ambience feels dated (90s Euro club music ). El Kabron offers a much more local feel for a high-end cliffside sunset . Better view there too if you can find it!

Nice beach club, without admission fee. Nice taste of martini . Inside hotel , so you can stroll around after.

Very easy to spend the 600k min for a daybed, sunset & location hard to beat. Watch out for the queue to catch the cable car down - jut take the stairs instead. Say hello to all the tourists !

Drinks Good, Food not so good at restaurant , but drink sides good, View amazing, Queue long. Spend whole day at the pool thats worth it.

I visited here January 2013 and they still renovating .. Make sure to call the ayana resort first, or else u can enjoy the sunset in sunset bar ,but not good as rockbar
