Be spontaneous. I dated a swell guy when I was 19, and we danced on the steps of the RVA Capitol. Best day date I'll remember forever. He made our life feel like it was 1960. <sigh>
If you're hungry, get here early and grab a bite to eat at Meriweather's Cafe . Just $5 for lunch specials with a great view in a nicely cooled space!
The entrance to the visitors center is at the corner of 9th and Bank st, NOT from the steps of the capitol building
Great free activity for tourists and Richmonders alike! Mrs. Turpin was a lovely tour guide .
