The Sandbar Restaurant

Our feet were in the sand of beautiful Anna Maria Island Beach , while enjoying excellent food and drinks. It is pricey but worth it. We tried the grouper sandwich and stuffed shrimp and loved it.

The Seafood Combo Fish , Shrimp & Scallops with coleslaw and fries was outstanding. On a table with 7 other people everyone kept staring at my plate. I added a Greek salad which was also very good.

1 of my most favorite watering holes. Great drinks - try a regular pina colada or one made in a fresh cocoanut, great apps - try the conch fritters , tuna tacos , scallops covered in crab meat . Beach +++

This is a neat place. I had my dinner right on the beach ; the edge of it anyway. The food was good and the servers were very nice. You should eat there once if you are near Anna Maria. Sit outside!

Littleneck claims with bacon and tomatoes are awesome!! BBQ Wild Boar pulled pork with sweet potatoes , orange marmalade , and Brussels sprouts was amazing. Best dish on the menu.

Shrimps & scallops were beyond amazing! Make sure to get it with garlic butter and mushrooms . Heather is the nicest waitress !

Got engaged on the beach outside the sandbar! Still go and get punch buckets - best drink on the menu and worth the $13! You get at least three drinks worth!

Had an early dinner ... The crab cakes will knock your socks OFF!✨????. Little bit of a wait, but the staff was on par. ✨

Amazing red snapper . Great service and drinks. Was seated immediately on a Friday at 6. Great pick me up to a mostly cloudy vaca.

Excellent food and place, have a drink while you wait your table, it won’t take long.

Prawn special was not impressive. 5 small shrimp accompanied by undercooked rice and some vege thing ruined by a ridiculous amount of ginger . So satisfying. Nice drinks and views , tho.

This is the place to go for local sustainable seafood ! The mullet is caught right off the coast here!

Best pina colada around. Food is not worth the wait. Stop to grab a drink and then walk the beautiful beach .

You can actually order a half portion of the Sinner's Delight, 3 scoops of ice cream as opposed to 6. Also a superb half bottle wine list selection, very reasonably priced.

Just had an incredible tour of the restaurant and it food sources. Boar and middle neck clams . Who would a thought.

Sit outside on the beach . The crab cakes are wonderful. Ring the bell at sunset !!

Good food and views . Valet parking is somewhat required but free and quite slow for a weeknight. Still good experience.

Solid food, the sunset beach views are spectacular.

The food is poor, the drinks also and this all even pricy . The sunset is great but that's everywhere on the island . Nearly every restaurant is better. And that's the same with Beachhouse and Mar Vista

It says here they take reservations however I could not make reservations . I was told first come first served.

Get here before 6 and you'll have about an hour wait for a medium sized party. Get a beer and watch the sunset in the meantime.

Order the spinach and artichoke bread bowl appetizer . Fantastic! They also have cafe patron.

Best pina colada i have had after being here all month...tuna tacos are good too but would be better w some kind of sauce (wasabi aioli maybe?)

The taco salad is hearty and the wasabi salmon is delicious!

Ask for a table on the beach order some beach fries and strawberry daquries and sit back and relax.

Sadly no longer worth the 1+ hour drive from Sarasota. They don't take reservations , and have long wait times by the time you do get here. Add renovations on top of that, and this is my last visit.

A protective rubber coating on the floor of your Jeep will protect it from rust and corrosion.

Good food, good service and on the beach !

Very disappointed. Clam chowder taste like they just opened a can of Campbell’s soup and the fish n chips were nothing special. Best part was being able to walk the beach to dinner

A rat came out of the kitchen on 8/27 for an hour & it was disgusting ???? how can you enjoy dinner ? The restaurant staff didnt apologize for the situation or made an attempt to offer a discount .

Always packed and a little pricy , but food was tasty and service was great.

Amazing food and excellent sunset if you dine outside.
