Always crowded but then that tells you something. If you want to eat where the locals eat , this is the place. Most nights there is a little music from family. Love the atmosphere. Food is delish.
Great neighborhood place with a mixture of classic Peruvian and Mexican dishes . Ceviche if they’ve got it - it goes fast! - and camarón saltado are my picks. Plus an Inca Kola!
If you like garlic try the Trucha al Ajo. The sauce on the Camarones a la Diabla is amazing creamy spicy flavorful . Aji de Gallina , ceviche/avocado tostada , chicharones de pescado all excellent.
It's worth trying their tamales . Wrapped in a banana leaf , delicious, especially with the sliced marinated red onions that come with. I usually order a side of guac or sour cream too with these.
The Aji de Gallina (AMAZING chicken dish ) is not on the menu but ask for it- so delicious! Great lomo saltado & ceviches too. Yum!
Random comment - their salad dressing is sometimes just decently tasty, but sometimes REALLY delicious. Also if they're not busy, sometimes you can get super nachos on french fries instead of chips .
Even though we arrived when they were pretty much closing they stayed open for us and the food was delicious.
