Ormond Beach

Absolutely love this beach . Much less populated than the popular Daytona Beach just a mile away. Free parking , beautiful sunrises/sunsets, and more. Great place and very family friendly !

The red sand here is actually crushed coral. Drag your feet on it to create a nice sound effect.

We always have a great time when we go to Ormond Beach. It's our favorite place to go for staycations

Never crowded in May. Clean beach makes for a great walk at sunset . Plus is you can drive on the beach too.

Fishing is good, typically catch blue or whiting; if lucky can catch flounder or red. Beach is clean , a lot of sea weed October & November months but overall a nice beach that is hardly ever crowded !

Bring plenty of OFF! BUG SPRAY during the warm/hot months. Not as bad in the cooler months (well if Central Florida has more than one cold month that is).

Red sand . No dogs on beach . Can park on beach in some areas.

Beautiful view . Sand is different from North Carolina. Water is a little cool in October.

This is a beautiful beach . Mostly private beachfront, but there are a few little public parking areas. The sand is really soft & fine granule - no shells.

Watch out for the dead jellyfish all over the beach ! They are really huge and cool to look at but I think can still sting after they are dead.

Bringing an umbrella might save another wise beautiful sunrise .
