With the best Indian food in San Francisco, Saffron Grill is a local treasure. Their spice levels are significantly higher than most restaurants . The chicken tikka masala spicy is amazing!
Really really good, high quality, home-made style Indian food . Better quality ingredients (like chicken ) than most Indian restaurants in SF. Reasonably priced as well : $10 for dinner plates.
Great value Indian. Great saag paneer and garlic naan . Chicken tikka masala was also solid. Ordered 6/10 spicy and it was mild. Riesling was a little sweet but tasty.
THERE is Indian food in NOPA! Who knew?! Very attentive and helpful service . By the time we we left (8:30) the place was filled. The food was very good. Can't believe I'd never been in before!
Delicious Indian food - but heed their warnings about their spice scale - we ordered a "medium" (what I usually request at Indian restaurants ) and it was unbearably spicy . ????
Great affordable neighborhood spot . Get the chicken tikka masala , yellow daal , and naan . They bring pappadum as an appetizer with sweet and spicy chutneys .
A favorite regular spot and some of the best Indian food I’ve had in SF. The staff here are lovely and everything on the menu is good
Love the quick service and friendly vibe at this tiny place, and the food is delish. Just make sure to order "mild" unless you are ready for SERIOUS spice. Medium was way too much for me.
Yellow daal , saag paneer , and baingan bharta. Tandoori paneer is also great
Cozy spot , food was delicious. Also, the woman who served us was so kind. Thank you!! I will certainly come back.
Really good and authentic food. Amazing service as well ! Beware of the spice levels. Medium spice is NOT medium.
I’m disappointed, everyone loves this place. Aloo gobi didn’t absorb flavors of the masala , pakora was flavorless, and veg biryani had sweet raita with it (didn’t compliment the rice ). Bummer!
So unbelievably spicy . So unbelievably delicious. Prepare to cry.
Awesome Indian place. If you ask for it spicy , they make it quite spicy (which is fantastic!). Great food across the menu.
Excellent hole in the wall Indian place, a little on the sweet side but the saag paneer is bangin'.
Don't miss the pakoras ! Dip em in your spicy saag like Frodo dippin the ring into mt doom
Less deathly spicy and more flavorful than past experiences. The Chicken Sagwala and Korma were big hits.
You know what? Chicken tiki masala is a totally predictable. And delicious. Medium spicy is enough to notice without feeling like you're trying to prove anything.
Butter chicken was amazing. With a hint of sweetness like it should be
Great food! Don't up the spiciness , it's already really spicy !
The chicken tikka masala is sweet, be warned !
Make sure to order the Chicken Byrani. Hands down, the best I have had on the West Coast!
This place is unreal!!!! The owner wears an awesome red hat... all of these guys are from eastern Europe. That's g!!!
Saag paneer , butter chicken , garlic naan , soooooo good
Here's one more. Best Indian food anywhere. Don't forget the garlic naan
Chicken tikka masala
Yellow dal and garlic naan ????????????????????????
Decent Indian food and price is super reasonable for the quantity. Ambiance is not very fancy .
This is likely my favorite indian place in the city
Quite possibly the quietest restaurant experience I've ever had. Bliss! Also: order the butter chicken .
Absolutley the best Indian food anywhere...period and the staff is great. Try something...anything.
Love the food here...the best Indian food I have ever had and I'm not kidding considering there are so many good Indian restaurants in the city .
Chicken korma - excellent!
Best Indian Food in the city . Anything is good.
Reopened! Looks amazing!
BEST Indian food in SF, hands down.
Best Aloo Chaat ever!! Read more
Not at all authentic . Poor quality ingredients.
gonna need two raitas
Their “mild” food was WAY too spicy , even for me, and I’m Indian! Would not come back.
Definitely try the paneer makhani! Mysore dosa is also really yummy - Nicole Rocchio
Wow, surprisingly good! Lots of South Indian food including Andhra style curries (spicy!). Best Indian in the mission! - Joshua Haftel
Beautiful produce but pricey. Fantastic selection of cheeses and local breads. Find firebrand artisan bread's pumpkin seed pretzels and authentic bagel co.'s bagels here. - Bommy
Amazing music space, great sound. Intimate experience between bands and public - Fernanda Martínez
Sake bombs are a must and the staff kicks ass. Also the shroom pizza is super yummy - Joshua Totemwongse
