Gorgeous 1970s library designed by Dion Neutra (son of father Richard) with indoor trees and fountains . A dream if you like libraries , huge windows, and wood paneling . Located inside a 350 acre park .
I live out of HB and still continue to use this library ! It's huge with a large section of books that are for sale (cheap ) and a very LARGE media rental room: DVD's, CD's, audiobooks, etc.
A bit dated but still a lot to offer. Children’s wing has arts and crafts. Also have a dedicated small theater for story time . Has small cafe in the library serving coffee and snacks .
Great library , the centralized loop ramp around the fountain is a great added touch. Go down to the lower level and enjoy coffee in a nice atmosphere. The Huntington Beach Playhouse is also located on
So much space to work and relax. Also lots of kid’s activities
Experience all that modern dentistry at Noleen Dental in Huntington Beach, CA, including general, restorative and cosmetic dental services to meet the needs of the whole family
The library here is big, nice and very tranquil. I could spend days in here. Wish my local library was this big & tranquil.
I just bought 6 books for $3.50. Incredible!! I can't find used bookstores that can beat that.
Boo. Have to be an HB resident to get a card for free. Guess I'll stick to my Samo library that allows free cards for all California residents.
They have computers, lots of studying space ,tons of books ,kind workers, and free wifi
chairs at study desk are all hardwood chairs; bring a pillow if you're going to sit for a long time!
Only library where I can eat/drink openly and have laptop plugged in (cafe area downstairs).
Absolutely beautiful. I LOVE studying here! The best places are by the windows over looking the park .
Can only renew books once while other libraries allow renewals twice. Can only check out 2 books from the same section.
Library card process is a pain. Need two forms of id to prove you're a resident of the city .
They have a used books section. They can fetch as low as $1 a book !!
For all the parents out there, toddler story time is on Sunday mornings at 10am. Have older kids? No sweat. Their story time is at 11am.
Also their ISP blocks usage of VPNs. Lame.
Free wifi often works even out in the park !
If you forget your card, they charge 25 cents
The new mayor there is pretty hot ;)
If you don't live in HB then it cost $25 a year. Super lame.
My fave library !
Great service. Just be friendly and they will be friendly to you. Love the bargain section here- lots of great books at affordable prices. - sierra

Probably my favorite park I have been to so far in all of Southern California. It’s such a large green space! Tons of benches and tables too. There was also a lot of parking in different areas. - Michael Morgan
