Staff and food are delightful. Some of the guests are very unpleasant…they actually need a spanking. Try the strawberry shortcake or apple cobbler . Salads are very large and very fresh.
Do I need to say again... "Fried Chicken " and friendly staff .. We usually take the benches out front as they allow pets only in that area and my puppy loves hanging out with us..
The Horny Toad is the place to go for good eating and great service. The waitresses like Michelle are up beat, they give great service with a smile and fun to be around.
Touristy as all get out, but who cares? It's so much fun, and the BBQ is delicious! Parking can be a problem; luckily, the Cave Creek main drag is very pro-pedestrian, so you can park and walk.
The special: Frozen not fresh steak , canned beans, Texas toast , and a water mix (mashed potatoes ) oh and my tortilla soup was Campbell chicken soup w/ chips . I'm not even sure why they have a kitchen.
Excellent ribs done just right with delicious barbecue sauce ! I would come back for the ribs !
The Ribs and the Meatloaf were great! also our waitress Michelle was fabulous.
