By far the best taco joint in the city ! Be patient it will take some time before you can get your hands on the delicious tacos . Totally worth the wait! Get the gobernador. Definitely come again, soon!
One of the best tacos in toronto i got blackened mahi mahi which is a hawaian fish , was superb and camarones a la diabla also delish but too spicy if u usually don't eat spicy , i ll come back for more
You've got to hit up this spot for legit tacos . Although there's also a lineup, it's worth the wait. There are barely seats inside so make sure you've got a place to take your tacos afterwards.
Authentic place! They specialise in fish so all those dishes are great. That said, I do love fried so try their fried fish . Also, the Mexican cola is great!
Try their grilled octopus tacos ! ???? They cook the octopus pieces a bit tender, so you don't need to worry about the taco being too chewy. Also, tacos are $6 each now (without tax)!
Gobernador and octopus tacos ! So delicious. Definitely will have to wait for a bit and not much room to eat when you get your food.
Had Ahi tuna and Octopus . They were both pretty good and had generous portions of seafood (especially the octopus ). The celery in the octopus gave it a nice crunch.
The tacos are big, cheap (~$5) and delicious! My go-to is the baja fish taco ! Don't forget to help yourself to their hot sauce and fresh lime when you pick up your tacos .
Taco spot 1 of 3: Seven Lives is a great stop off as part of an afternoon spent exploring Kensington. Their departure from the simple traditional flavours sets them apart from the other taco spots .
Gobernador is to die for! ????. This place is super busy, and make sure you bring cash!
They tend to run out of ingredients by the end of the day, so come early and come with cash. Of all that I've tried my favorite was the Mahi Mahi tacos .
The poke and chips is my fave, closely followed by marlin. So good. They had to increase their prices this week but they continue to be reasonable for the pile of deliciousness you get.
All the tacos are great. The hot sauces are tasty and the service is A+. The Jamaica is a great drink to accompany the tacos .
Actually worth the hype! Tacos are filling and delicious. The baja fish is huge and they don't skimp on toppings :)
Always with long lines , but worth it. Tried the Baja Fish and Gobernador . So good! One is plenty.
Love The Gobernador. I also liked the place’s atmosphere. The cooks are always singing and upbeat ????????
Really great value . Surprising packed tacos - the gobernador was excellent. I also had the pork burrito which was disappointing. For lunch , 1 taco was enough for me (a girl). Space is really small.
Great and very generous tacos ! Great places to share tacos with friends. But there's no place to sit so it must be on-the-go!
Huge tasty helping of ceviche on a tostada that stands up to all the liquid: it was still crisp in the center even though we waited to eat it after our tacos .
It's worth the lineup. The octopus , mahi mahi , and vegan cactus taco are delicious, but you can't go wrong with any order.
Excellent seafood tacos . Blackened mahi is great. Ceviche is excellent. Octopus was kinda weird.
Bit of a wait and it was hot. Tried the Gobernador and Octopus tacos . Really big, full tacos - so much so that the shell on the pulpo fell apart . But the tacos were good. Not much room for seating.
Chicken grill tacos are so flavoured, they’re delicious as shrimps tacos ! Best I’ve ever tried in Toronto!
Mahi Mahi taco , made with a dry spice rub is a knockout! Also try one of the Agua frescos.. hibiscus and strawberry were two of the flavours on offer today
The octopus (pulpo ) taco was my favorite, over the gobernator and the mahi-mahi.
Come here, and then come back for the rest of the menu
mahi mahi is my favorite, tacos are solid and portions are generous. ceviche is huge and delicious. come hungry
octopus ,blackened mahi mahi and the carnitas :) have the sauces as well !!
Tried chicken taco and tortillas with guacamole . All perfect
Easily the best fish tacos in Toronto. Beware the "hot" sauce however. My mouth & head were on fire after 3 scoops. Was still worth it though.
Carnitas and Gobernador tacos were both delicious. Try the hibiscus drink too!
Loved the Gobernador & Pulpo tacos . Will be coming back
Tiny seafood taco shop doles out massive flavor in Kensington Market . Be prepared to take your food to go.
Wow, awesome tacos ... Grilled octopus is the best...
Mahi Mahi tacos are something special. The Habanero salsa will eviscerate your innards the next morning, so be warned.
I had the catch of the day (steelhead trout ) and it was amazing! Highly recommend!
Delicious tacos ! Not to be missed if you happen to be in Kensington Market .
The Gobernador was the best taco I had in my whole life. Flawless.
The octopus is so juicy. Shrimp is very spicy and mahi mahi was so flavourful
Had the blackened Mahi Mahi ... Damn good. Little bit of a wait if busy, but well worth it
This taco place has a more creative menu than usual. The taco shells, though soft, were very oily, which might bother some.
great flavours, everything is super fresh. definitely try the fresh juice too!
Everything- seriously all tacos are good!! Try their hot sauces to transform your tacos
You should be able to throw a dart at their menu and eat whatever dish it hits! (Aim at the gobernador one)
What’s good here..tacos uh tacos tacos tacos
I get the baja fish and the carnitas when I can only choose two.
My favourite lunch spot of all time. Definately worth your while
Two tacos are probably enough. Three if you're starving.
Such a great spot! Impressed even this hardened New Yorker :)
Really good tacos . Portions were massive, in my opinion.
Kick ass burrito with an amazing salsa bar and a handful of free fresh chips if you ask nicely ???? - Martin Laws
try the tacos. best in the city and probably the best overall quick eats in Kensington. - Matt Smith
Get the guac and chips. Salsa's great. I recommend the fish and chihuahua tacos! - H I
Arguably the best atmosphere coffee in town. Prices are fair and the place is very cozy! In summer time make sure you go to the patio area. - Diogo Noronha
Another cafe with Pilot beans. They are doing a great job here in T. Bit schmutzig the interior. Nice cinnamon roll. Sticky teeth! - Arnoud Aalbersberg
