You can pack a lunch and bring it in with you. There are tables to eat inside or outside.
Parking off Water Street is in a parking garage and is only $2.00 for the day. You can also park there for the Caterpillar Visitor Center next door. Entrances to both are located in the garage .

Pro tip: the leftmost elevator is a utility elevator, and is larger but also slower than the other two. As such, the leftmost elevator call buttons only apply to the freight elevator. - Rob Morrow
