Old Nickel

A nice budget hotel and strategically located a the center of Amsterdam but troublesome for travellers with heavy luggage. No lift in this hotel and luggage need to be carried using a small stair :(

Had drinks in the bar , the hotel didn't look great - people always waiting in the bar to be let upstairs by the barman. Ok Belgian beer selection , atmosphere between cosy pub and shitty tourist hovel.

Some facts exposed before booking : There is a nightclub , a Chinese KTV and several bars right across the lane, so noise normally end around 2 am. No water heater in the room: get it at their reception

great bar with friendly bartenders and good atmosphere, they have live music sometimes and a wide range of belgian beers

You can smoke inside after the curtains close. Seems likely to have lock-ins. There is a bar cat but he's very grumpy, presumably from being poked by drunk tourists .

Best pub in Amsterdam. Friendly staff , nice ambiance and great decor.

The password for wifi is tel.number of the bar . Good place and fresh Grolsch!

Troublesome for travellers with heavy luggage. Need to carry luggage to the room upstairs as no lift is there in this hotel .

Good beers , cozy and warm

After one night stay, it became our worst nightmare. We travel a lot, but it was so bad. Expensive, dirty , small room and rude staff . The next day we had to change accomodation.

Nice place in the very center, with a pub on the ground floor.
