Julia's Empanadas

Late night or midday, Julia's empanadas always taste fantastic. Get the Jamaican or Chilean.

Wandered in after 12am for a late dinner . Ordered the Salteña empanada (HUGE) and a guava/peach empanada for dessert . Yum! Small place, seating for 3. I was quite entertained by all the chatty drunks.

Always consistently good. I have been enjoying these empanadas for many years and know of none better. The 14th Street location is closed (but remains on their website.)

Small place to take and go really good, the chilean style empanadas are really good and the apple empanadas are amazing! Like.

SO spicy ! But delicious when you need something quick and handheld. Line looks long, but moves fast. I prefer chorizo .

My fave is the turkey & spinach , although the saltenas ( with boiled egg ) and jamaican come pretty close :) :)

It's stew in a edible pouch. Tasty, convenient, filling, and hits the spot on cold days. Desert ones aren't bad either.

Great pastry shell but generally mediocre filling. Go with the Jamaican, which is delicious, otherwise, Chilean is okay while turkey and spinach suck.

It's not the fanciest of places (and that's an understatement), but the Chilean empanada with chopped beef , spices, egg , and raisins isn't to be missed.

They have a vegan empanada ! It was fantastic!

The pear almond sweet empanadas are divine! The staff is very friendly too.

Try the vegetarian...and remember its ingredients are posted on the whiteboard!

Geat empanadas ! the jamaican empanada is flavored but not spicy . Saltena with spring onions is also pretty good
