Cardiff & Miller exhibit '13: The power of visual/sound effects! If you're a scaredy cat like me, go w your significant other! If not, come out w cold sweats like me.. p.s. don't forget the view :)!!!
The $10 admission is good for all 3 locations for 7 days. All the exhibits combined contain a fraction of what you would find at the SF MOMA in a single location. View of La Jolla Cove is spectacular.
Go on the free days!! Otherwise, unless you really enjoy art , it's probably not worth it. Some art exhibits were awesome though.
Check out the Lifelike exhibit . So fun! I think my favorite piece is: Jud Nelson; Hefty 2-Ply (1979-1981); Looks like a white bag filled with garbage, but is white marble !
Parking is hard to find along the main road so cross your fingers or look in the side streets. Just $10 & it's free on the third Thursday of every month! My favorite museum so far
We love exploring the Edward’s Sculpture Garden (it’s got a great view too!), especially on the third Thursday of the month when admission is FREE!
The building is gorgeous, the view is spectacular, the art could use some updating to still be considered contemporary .
I am surprised by how many kid-friendly things you can do here between summer camp to stroller tours ! Check the website for details.
Beautiful museum with a wonderful selection of art in a fantastic setting by the beach
One of the several "Hammering Man" mechanized sculptures around the world is here. Rumor has it that they are synchronized. The Seattle Art Museum has a larger version.
You'll recognize this building by the iconic "Pleasure Point" sculpture jutting out of the seaward side like a post-modern widow's walk. When contemporary art tours San Diego, it stops HERE. Read more
One of the best views in La Jolla, head over for a great sunset or relax in the meditation garden .
The two buildings downtown & the La Jolla location seem like too much space for the few displays.
Great location but what's with the super short opening hours?
The current exhibition is amazing !
Go to the San Diego Art Museum in Balboa Park instead.
Bring your cafe receipt for $2 off admission .
I recommend everything!
Start your visit with one of the delicious salads in the cafe next door.
Free admission for anyone 25 and under.
Tsoknyi Rinpoche's open heart open mind tallk
Great ocean view from the 2nd floor.
Free admission for under 25 year olds
ugh, the artwork here sucks. or it's just not the style I like...good thing I got in free.
Poor bears .. save them please :(
Museo pequeño. Con pocas obras de muy famosos. Pequeña colección. Pero pasas 2 horas divertídas. Excelente arquitectura y vistas. Domingos gratis
Amazing jewelry, great art books (some say the best selection in San Diego), and a superb gift selection. Not a bad place to drop some cash. - Chacho Herman
You pay what you want, BUT they recommend 5$. Worth the visit, loved the Tableau Vivant exhibition. - Jona Rak Koceli
Not finished yet, don’t waste your money in it. Not worth it! - Y.
Super fun place to go. A bit smelly but its always fun to view the sea lions! - Keith Kaplan
Unbelievable sunset. Very clean. Seals are resting directly on the beach - Olia B.
Chicken Caesar wrap is awesome, if you're a fan of Caesar. Also the passion ice tea is yummy - Cathy Vegas
