If we're 4Sq friends then you already know this is my favorite "local" mountain . Tons of trails to choose from and pretty views , enough for multiple return visits.
Located 60 miles northwest of Washington. Scenery: Wooded uplands, waterfall , sweeping vistas from overlooks . Trail surface: Mostly rocky or sandy; some boardwalk, pavement, grass; quite rooty.
Did 5.15 miles hiking . Definitely challenging. Some pretty steep elevations . Nice overlooks and views .
Hiking and great for walking your dog .... Beautiful trees
