We explored the hotel’s elegant interior , but what attracted us most on that sunny afternoon was the outdoor terrace restaurant with its spectacular mountain and valley view—a place not to be missed. Read more
Historic hotel with lots of places to explore, I.e. Ghost Bride staircase! If you are staying there as a guest, they have guided tours in the afternoon. We enjoyed our stay but our heater broke!
Before I knew Room 457 had a reputation for being haunted, the TV had turned on by itself and there was an image of the fire escape plan on the back of the entrance door, but it wasn't my door. Creepy
This gorgeous property has everything...art , scenery, shops, bowling , ski rental , restaurants ...it is simply stunning and the staff is/are wonderful.
looks like hogwarts! filled with history! but I would stay at mount royal because thats by all the bars , clubs, and shops and u can walk everywhere. this hotel is a mile or two from everything else.
Stunning hotel and gorgeous views . Make sure you do the hotel tour . I could spend days just looking around the hotel .
In the dead of winter, definitely hit up the heated outdoor pool . Grab a noodle on the way in and relax after a long day of skiing .
It's on the Spa page, but after 7 PM, it's $29 for spa access. If you have the time, it's worth it. Also, joining the President's Club is free and gives you free wifi and fitness center access.
The spa has a fabulous mineral pools . The Japanese restaurant is first class but pricey . I wish they give us bottled water in the room.
Must check out Indian Summer Restaurant . Very good indian food with very spectacular view !
Opened to the public on June 1, 1888 but only intended for summer use, it was not open in the winters until 1968.
Make sure to check out the awesome pool, hot tubs , and fitness centre! Also a secret awesome balcony near there...
Don't wait for the brunch buffet . Breakfast is just as good, and cheaper!
Ambiance is breathtaking. Hot outdoor pool is a great experience. Checking in during peak days can take a long time :(
Wow and just amazing views !!!
For ski rental go into Banff and rent from SnowTips. They have an excellent selection of skis including great equipment for kids.
Food at the mezzanine restaurant is good. Have to try the banana bread pudding as well as the sweet chili chicken . It's delicious
Bring your dogs (if they are manageable) the Fairmont is dog friendly . There is a off leash park in town as well .
Beware of german tourists who ask you to take their photo, and then drag you around to gather their 20 friends and find the perfect spot. Then none of the pictures are good enough.
Gorgeous architecture and perfect views . . . Except for all the humans.
The Fairmont Banff Springs is really showing its age. Particularly the hot springs which have dried up and now the pool is heated by a boiler that is often broken down.
Spa mineral pools are an incredible experience. In the big pool music plays under the water. Try it out!
The Stanley Thompson wing is very nice, but a good 5 minute walk from the main hotel - a bit far!
Awesome, Beautiful place .. Best place to visit while on Banff in Winter ..
The Grapes Wine Bar is one of my favourite places. Great Canadian wine list , try the Truffle Fondue !
Very beautiful. Sad that there were only the lounge open for lunch though.
Look for Sam the bellman. Sure, he's a ghost - but he's super helpful and friendly .
The hotel is beautiful. Our room was very small with a view of the next door roof. Downtown is only 1.3 km.
Great view . Great location. But the rooms were overpriced. I have stayed in hotels all over the world... this one wasn't worth the money. Location and view was great.
The upgrade to Gold Floor is so worth it! Also, a day at the spa would be a good idea on your itinerary!
Cavernous. Fantastic rooms to explore.
The buffet brunch is amazing! Food is fresh and staff is very friendly .
Gold level is amazing. The service here is phenomenal.
Stunning, perfect service. Beautiful old dame of a hotel .:-)
Brunch is overrated. Stick to the Waldhaus and the pub below. The a la carte breakfast at the Bow Grille is excellent.
Go for the "Afternoon Tea " in the Rundle Lounge . Reservations needed, it's a memorable (and delicious) experience!
love the Bighorn Lounge ovelooking The Golf Course .. great for High Tea or an Evening Scotch Read more
Great place to bring friends who visit Calgary. The staff is warm and genuine!
Best Gluten Free menu I've had in a hotel . And tasty too!
It's a huge hotel , and I loved seeing it!
Gorgeous! It's like an old castle and makes me think I'm in a Harry Potter movie .
Awesome hotel , great service, amazing decor. (sadly, poor internet access)
It's always funny seeing deer walking the street. He followed me up the hill and tried to find me a parking space .
Nice place - excellent staff and service.
Ice skating at the hotel - at night and hot springs are not to be missed!!
Visit the Waldhaus Pub on Wednesdays for Wing Wednesday! $0.50 wings and beer specials
Great golf experience at Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel .
Sauna place is perfect!!!
8th floor is haunted. There's a room (#873) which has been sealed up because a family was killed there. It looks like just a wall now but the ghosts roam the floor apparently. Beware!
Excellent gym . Upgrading to the gold floor is worth the extra
Wife loves the pear Cosmo . Great burger , great salad w chicken . Leave the nachos and the steak tips alone . - Pee Wee Cray
Only been to the hot pool and dressing rooms but if that’s all you do, that should be enough! :) - Pia Ferrari
An amusing Hotel, the attention is awesome and the place is so beautiful. Perfect for couples - Carlos Juárez
This hotel is awesome. Rooms are twice the size of the Banff Springs hotel. Great pool and hottub and the views of Rundle Mountain are unmatched - TravelNetworkca
Best pillow I've had in a hotel ever. The outdoor hot pool is amazing. Dated decor but clean and helpful staff! - Roxanne Lebeau
