Possibly the best sushi you can get in the tri-state area and most definitely in NJ. I have been coming here for a while and it's easily my favorite Japanese restaurant .

Everything I ever order here is fresh & wonderful and the presentation is absolutely flawless. It's a byob so pick up some good saki and they will warm it for you. Only Nobu in NYC is better.

Don't be fooled by Sagami's boxy exterior or its knotty-pine paneling and booths . Delicate soy sauce pitchers and intricately painted wooden serving bowls make this place as authentic as it gets. Read more

Delicious quality Japanese dishes - mostly known for chirashi bowl. Dinner sets (plate/soup/ salad / drink/ dessert ) is around $37.50, but plates average around $25-35. Expensive, but service equates ????

Sagami has a been a favorite for many, many years..! One of the only truly authentic Japanese owned sushi restaurants in the region. Anything you try is good..!

Chirashi is very popular here. Sushi dishes take a while to come out so order asap. quality is not consistent but always good but sometimes REALLY good - also if you're tall - watch out!

By far, one of the best Japanese restaurants on the east coast including Manhattan . Amazing inoki soup , hamachi kama , eel and of course, sashimi

Hamachi Kama - this dish is not on the menu - if you don't know what it is, order and try it anyway. You will not regret. Limited quantities each night, when they run out, they're out!

Chirashi is the bomb. Must get if you come here! You will not be disappointed if you love raw fish/sashimi

Definitely the most authentic Japanese restaurant around. You can't say that you have had Japanese food until you've been to a truly authentic place like Sagami.

It is always rewarding to eat at Sagami. Have been going here for over 10 years. Usually chirashi , sashimi , and unagi here is to die for. Open for lunch (Tue-Fri) and Dinner , closed on Mondays.

Best authentic Japanese restaurant ! Everything is delicious. The delightful Chilean Sea Bass is outstanding!

My go to Japanese restaurant when I'm craving fresh sushi . Get the Mixed Seaweed Salad , Miso Eggplant with Chicken , Smoked Salmon Nigiri Sushi , Uni, Chirashi , and Beef Sukiyaki .

Best Sushi in the tri-state area. Try the chirasi or sushi combinations. Its BYOB , so don't forget to bring an extra beer or 3 for Shigeru-san & crew.

Ambiance is great, sushi pieces and sashimi are second to none. Sushi rolls are a total pass though--Umi Sushi is better.

Best sushi in the area, hands down. Lunch time? Oyako donburi is filling and delicious.

Chirashi is my favorite. Was very packed as usual. Only bad thing was the very obnoxiously loud table next to us. As we left a table way up front asked how we tolerated them.

Best sushi in greater Philadelphia, bar none. Definitely worth the bridge toll. Watch your head if you are over 6'--very low ceilings.

Chirashi here is excellent. I almost always get this when I dine here. WARNING: takes forever to prepare...expect to wait at least 45 mins while the rest of the table gets their food earlier.
