Opposite the train station . Be ready to pay to visit the house, pay to walk around, pay to see the animals... There is a nice court with nice food. Also a nice free play area for kids.
Hatfield house, specifically the long gallery , served as the headquarters of the ‘Temple of the Four Orders’ in Sherlock Holmes (2009), where Holmes meets with Sir Thomas and the Home Secretary.
Go to Battle Proms in July. It's wonderful. Take a table, chairs, wine , a full on buffet , strawberries , lanterns and cake , cos everyone does & you'll feel left out if you don't.
Beautiful Jacobean house set in stunning parkland. The previous house on the site was the childhood home of Elizabeth I.
Hidden gem in Hatfield some nice events there check the website out.
You can buy a summer season membership for unlimited access to the woodland walks.
More beautiful than Versailles !
Bring a picnic . The prices here are crazy. Also: they've ruined it by bolting the kids' play area onto the farm - thus forcing you to pay to get in. There's a separate price on *everything*. Meh.
Nice place
French market
Cider at the mobile bar is good.
Hard to find using GPS. It's basically opposite the train station !

The Roman Theatre of Verulamium is unique. Built in about 140AD it is the only example of its kind in Britain being a theatre with a stage. The Theatre could seat 2000 spectators. Unearthed in 1847 - Ivor Kellock
Very nice farm! Clean environment! My little one had fun running around chasing the animals. Definitely recommend the tractor ride as you get to see the entire farm! Amazing playground! - Eralda Qirjo
Fab place! Everything you need under one roof! Parking can get a bit crazy though, go early or late :) - Soph O'Keefe
