Good place for swimming . Can be difficult to get parking on warm sunny days.
Best swimming hightide +/- 3h. Outside this your knees might hit the sandy grounds..
Go to the left of the pier . Far fewer people, nice gentle walk in, and in the sun till it sets!
Nice clean water good for a swim .salthill beach is better as it has a green area less people but no lifeguard 200 m away
