Come here after a nice rain, but get here early because it's a low hanging fruit as it's right next to the parking lot . Also the stairs up to the top are intimidating. Rest often.
Beautiful recreational area . Very crowded on a weekend, however. Trying to get a picture in front of the waterfall is virtually impossible, as everyone is looking for the same shot you are.
Off season the parking lots access road is closed (for vehicles) & adds another 2+miles onto your hike . Worth it.
Check yourself for ticks afterward!
