Xochimilco Restaurant

We ended up at Xoxhimilco on a Friday night after numerous stops to other places that were super crowded ...two hungry kids, no waiting! Fast, pleasant service . Really good, affordable food.

This tiny but tremendous Mexciantown institution is usually bubbling over with patrons. That's the case with many restaurants in the Southwest scene, but Xochimilco is the real deal. [Eater 38 Member]

I had the quesidilla (with only cheese cuz I am a plain jane when it comes to stuff sometimes). It came with rice and beans. Very good. :-)

Great Mexican food always worth a stop to pick up hot salsa to it's the best. Also a great lunch menu with great prices

My favorite Mexican Restaurant ! Great chips/salsa, carne asada , quesadilla 's and KILLER Margarita's . Forget ordering them by the glass, get a PITCHER !

Get the fajitas they are the best around make sure you get melted cheese on top chicken and steak combo for the win

Everything is good especially the guacamole . I love the quesadilla 's and my husband loves the Spanish omelette .

Cool atmosphere, along with good tacos , burritos , and chips and salsa make this place a great spot

The fajitas are excellent! More than enough for 2 folks! Know that getting them with cheese gets all your meat and veggies covered in a giant cheese blanket.

Get the melted cheese on anything. Try going during the week. The weekends tend to be pretty crowded and busy and the beans tend to be runny on those days.

Amazing Mexican... The Warm chips and salsa are amazing!..(gotta add a little salt).. Fajitas are amazing enough for two people!

Chimichangas de pollo is the best. Been getting the same dish for years!!!

The food is sub par and it looks like a basement inside, but the service was great and the food came very quickly!

Cast Iron Skillet Fajitas are amazing! Make sure you add cheese , it melts tight on top.

Great food. Carry out is best- the service isn't all that great.

Don't forget to comb your hair before coming to Xochimilco.

The "flaming cheese " is like a suped-up meximelt. This could be a meal in itself, but keep the Imodium close at hand.

Excellent fast service once we ordered wasn't even 5 mins before we got our food. Best in Detroit

I love Xochi 's but they come in at #3 on my Detroit list. 1. El Zocalo, 2. Mexican Village , 3. Xochimilco.

Good food. But don't go as a large group. They don't separate checks.

VEGAN TIP: The beans have lard in them. The rice is vegetarian .
