Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park is a national park Old Great Falls Historic District Paterson located in United States.
77 McBride Ave Paterson , NJ 07501 United States
The Paterson Great Falls are a spectacular wonder, 77 feet high, on the Passaic River & the largest in the Northeast after Niagara Falls . It’s fun to experience nature in the middle of an urban city .
It is a beautiful spot! The picnic tables are slightly dilapidated but can be easily remedied. The parking lot above has serious potholes unfortunately
Walk across the falls on a footbridge at this beautiful natural attraction located in downtown Paterson. It's on our Super Bowl Fan Guide's list of essential things to do during Super Bowl week 2014. Read more
Truly is a hidden gem in this terrible neighborhood . 100% worth the visit. Make some time to explore the visitor center -- the staff there is amazing and so knowledgeable !
A free national park with Beautiful views of the falls. Limited parking available.
Come here to check out the falls. Be sure to see it from above and below. Don't stray too far. The surrounding area is very sketchy .
Hidden gem in the heart of a bustling city . Visits are a must after a heavy rain and after a winter freeze.
The falls are always beautiful. To bad the rest of Paterson isn't anymore. Wish they'd clean it up and get rid of all the drugs, dealers and addicts that are there.
Amazing place to goto. They are doing a 2 year renovation of the park , so some areas are currently off limits.
Hidden gem . Not the greatest of areas today but historic nonetheless
If ur a nature lover, u will love the adventure here :) find the way down to the lake , and look for raspberry bushes delicious!
Nice to walk around a little and for contemplation. The bridge is slowly starting to fill with locks, giving it a parisienne feel, sort of, not really but one can dream.
The waterfalls here are even better than Niagara Falls .
It’s amazing that this lovely place exists. Really worth a visit.
Two parking lots . The lot with the view looking up at the bridge is Overlook Park .
The waterfalls walk and bridge are "officially" closed (6/1/2014). You can still get in at your own risk.
If you ever fall into the falls remember this: you are going to die!
Impressive falls and an awesome step back into NJ history.
Be sure to add a walk along the Raceways to your visit to the Great Falls : the raceways meander around many of the historic factories that make Paterson a great historic destination Read more
I love it , peaceful ????
Every season esp winter!
It's so beautiful
This is the place where I got married so it's def a nice romantic spot ;-)
Hard to appreciate when Paterson is so rundown
NO bathrooms here, no walking trails , no water fountains , no shade, no parking lot . Nearby "bike path " littered with drug paraphernalia, garbage, and glass. Mosquito haven. Got bitten 5x.
See where Hamilton built up on an idea!
Great views of the falls.

The falls are beautiful all the time but especially after it's rained for a few days.
