Just moved here from NYC and everyone said I wouldn't find NY-style pizza in San Diego . Problem solved! This is actually better than my local place in Manhattan. Delish!

All the pizza joints in San Diego claim to be "New York" style pizza . Most of them dont even come close to New York style. Luigi's pizza is definitely new york style. Best pizza i have had in cali.

Their laid back atmosphere and price make it a pizza joint cornerstone. At $2.50 per slice, you will never grow tired of their unique combinations.

Cash only . A lot of their pizzas don't have sauce, and I thought that was weird, but they still turned out delicious.

Besides the mushroom sausage and BBQ chicken , try the simple tomato basil garlic pizza , it's very delicious, all of them are pretty good.

The sauceless pizzas are best with a side of marinara . The meatball roll is sublime; meatball , ricotta and cheese for days.

I have to say o was very disappointed. We order a simple margarita pizza . The so called fresh basil was very little. And overall just not enough flavor. Oh, then was told cash after I ordered.

We <3 tips! Bbq chicken pizza is amazing.

They refused to deliver to my hotel a mile away. First reason was “we don’t deliver to hotels”. The second was distance, then it was too close to closing, which was 1.5 hours away. Screw that.
