Went for breakfast 2 eggs over easy rye toast home fries , coffee , juice and scrapple Cost around $9 A little high for breakfast But service was friendly coffee was hot and breakfast was good. ????????

Such a diverse menu! But warning, the entrees are huge! Definitely recommend coming here if everyone in your group wants different types of cuisine.

My Pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and my picky eater devoured her HUGE kids pancakes .

Since the fall of the Melrose a few years ago, this is the new diner to go to in South Philly . Great food, great people! You are bound to run into someone you know if you live in South Philly : )

Cheese steak was great! Make sure you ask for mushrooms , onions & peppers unless you just want meat & cheese .

Like all places, it's hit or miss. Took 3 waitresses before we ordered, and it's pretty amazing that you need to explain what a hot roast beef sandwich is... Sometimes it's the twilight zone here.

Everything is great! Try the crab soup and the Impossible Burger !

Best diner in so. Phila. They turn out breakfast like none other. Line can be intimidating on a Sun morning but never waited more then a few minutes.

Solid food and service. I cleaned my plate. Veggie burgers are very good there.

Starting 1/1/19, Penrose is no longer going to be 24 hours . New hours are 6 am to midnight daily.

The meals are huge and delicious. You can't go wrong.

Egg Benedict with lox was the best choice

The smallest Philly cheesesteak I had in the city , without anything inside, and its taste was not that good. No WiFi inside Penrose. Total failure, I regret to have gone there. By the way, not cheap !

Great spot in S. Philly Nicely decorated and recently renovated! The food was delicious and served hot. Staff was pleasant and very accommodating too. Love it!

Watch out for the roaches....sometimes their seated at the table waiting for you when you get there

Food is good. Waitress very nice and pleasant. Older hostess major attitude. Not friendly at all. Like she couldn't be bothered.

Don't expect to have a quiet meal if they sit you all the way in the back. That's where they usually put all of the rowdy young kids.
