Tan-A Asian Supermarket

The selection of dumplings (in the freezer aisle) is pleasingly overwhelming: lots and lots and lots of choices for reasonable prices.

Build a cheap lunch from the prepared foods at the front of the store. Shrimp rolls , steamed buns and lots of good other things I can't really identify or pronounce. Eat lunch here for under $5

Bring cash. Great tea selection and fresh veggies priced well but don't overstock! Chinese broccoli is delish when steamed and served with a light lemon butter sauce .

Check the periphery for cheap produce, pork belly and fresh ramen noodles .

May god have mercy on your weary soul if you are not Asian and in need of finding things in this store. That being said, either bring an Asian with you or become an Asian to enhance your stay here.

Cash only ! (or personal checks). The only thing I get here are cases of Mr. Browns Coffee . Think of it as the Taiwanese version of a Starbucks Doubleshot.

They now take debit/credit but with a $15 minimum.
