Mecha Uma is a privately run chef's table with a menu best described as serving global cuisine with Japanese inflections. This is perhaps the first establishment in Manila to offer a true seasonal tasting menu with air-flown specialties from Japan and an extensive use of local organic produce.

I tried the chef’s tasting menu . It was a succession of small plates , each loaded with flavor and presented simply and elegantly, culminating in a satisfying and very filling meal.
Omakase at the counter is always a delightful experience - watching chef Bruce at work and getting to know more about how they prep the food makes it more fun. They have good drinks too!

Sit at the Chef’s table so you can see them preparing your food. The ‘hand-smoking’ of huge fish is just crazy.
It's a few weeks wait to get a reservation for their degustation menu good for only a few guests at a time. But walk-in and order a la carte. Each dish is delectably umami.
