Mesob Ethiopian Restaurant

I know Ethiopian food and its very good. In Mesob, I had an Ethiopian food and it was very very very good. Nice atmosphere and kind hosts. Get some spicy paste or powder on the side, it is unique.

I loved the vegetarian sampler ! You pick 6 options from the vegetarian menu and they serve a good portion of each choice. Plus, it's all prepared vegan style! I'll be back very soon! (:

Excellent, friendly service and delicious food! I recommend the Shrimp Tibs . BYOB with no corking fee to boot.

Oh my god. I got the vegetarian sampler w/ the ingudai tibs*, gomen, tikil gomen, shiro *, ye’shimbra asa*, and difen misir alicha*. all bomb, extra bomb are asterisked. Try the teas and coffee !

Get the meat sampler , it comes wih 4 meat dishes (3 beef dishes and 1 chicken ) and comes with 5 vegetable sides. This was a really good experience!

Can’t believe it took us 5 years living in Montclair to make it to this establishment. Outstanding by all accounts - cuisine, friendly service , value! Enjoy!!

Mesob is my favorite restaurant in Montclair ! The food is amazing, as is the ambiance & staff . I recommend the collard greens , red & brown lentils , chick pea biscuits , & everything else in the menu!

Surprise! Ethiopian cuisine ? It’s fantastic. Real Ethiopian folks and they know food well . Found it by accident, but it’s going to be a staple now, if I’m in NJ.

I lived in little Ethiopia in DC and I can say that Mesob does a great job w Ethiopian cuisine . Great atmosphere, staff and most importantly, food. (Mushrooms tibs= amazing!) Also it is byob !

A wonderful meal. Fish was superb! Vegetables were served with plenty of injerra. Server was helpful, attentive and cute . The Ethiopian coffee is wonderful!

Everything is amazing. I always get the doro tibs with azeefa and misir wet but you'd be satisfied with any of it.

Amazing food. Vegetarian friendly . BYOB like most of the area. Great staff . Order the Mesob Ethiopian coffee which is served in a gourd. It's some of the best tasting coffee I've ever had.

Get one of the sampler platters , order dessert (almond cake or sesame paste ) and def get the special coffee !!!

Split the meat sampler . We loved the chickpea and collared green sides. 2 of the meat dishes were only okay (too much sour for us personally).

can't go wrong with anything you order. gluten free injira is what's up.

I liked the shrimp tibs

They have a brunch on weekends which is really good if you are a little adventurous and don't need the same-old, same-old.

Meat sampler is delicious! My favorite from it was the lamb . for Dessert try the chocolate espresso torte - its heaven.

Appetizers Sampler is amazing...also the Lamb entrees are sooooo good! Highly recommended!!
