Take a look at the cat(s) and mouse/mice on the front face of the entry. Purportedly, when the cat catches the mouse , the world ends.

Visiting Tucson (by plane )? Check this spot out on your way to the airport your last day — you can see it in 20 mins and it’s worth it. Beautiful southwest architecture .

Allison Kaminski

The architecture is amazing. If you have never been to a mission you should check it out!! Try to street food in the parking lot after

Super ornate for a structure like this in America. Cool grounds. Snarky signage.

San Xavier, also know as the white dove of the desert, you could see it from miles away.

A must see in southwest Tucson. Facing the mission, to the left are the restrooms and to the right are the museum and gift shop . The lions on the altar are a tribute to Spain's king.

Ben Hernandez

Amazing experience and the beauty of the mission is incomparable

Dan Mullen

Loved this place! Historic and very interesting... No tax in the gift shop (it's on an Ajo Indian Reservation )... the homemade flatbread vendor in the parking lot was well worth a stop!
